I heartily agree with that…but hoofing it across the map to get a hard to find dead boar when I could just kill one close by and return to the fight does not make for a good strategy.

No FT can hear it the pigs are loud. Pig kill noise is basically global lol. Pigslayers get melted if atleast two people turn the corner they just have to sit there taking headshots throughout the whole animation and can’t back out of it lol. Did this yesterday with just randos in pubs doing dailies.
you might want to practice more in private matches and test this.

I train private matches daily. We test mechanics, weapon damage, sound triggers, impact containers, many bugs reported through the forums.
Lol I was playing fireteam not pred. I don’t even have amazing headphones and can figure out “hey there’s pig squealing behind the wall” the audio is all directional. Graphic settings aren’t on low either, maybe I just know all the pig spawns by heart but then so did the rando dutch that turned the corner before me and dropped a nade right on the pred.

Just like locating where the pred is based on clicking isn’t possible? Pigs oink and squeal in a direction like the rest of the audio in the game what are you talking about. Can’t hear where the pred is running through water cloaked either? Highly recommend getting yourself some cheapo biaural headphones at the very minimum.
I don’t know why you’re so defensive & I don’t know if you’ve noticed but pigs are at set spots around compounds along the fence, They aren’t there the entire time but they spawn after Fireteam’s been there a minute. Spam target iso a bit you’ll figure it out where they are everytime or i’m some kind of god you goon.

Yeah I don’t see preds typically getting super bold and eating right next to the team if they’re low. Generally if you see people turning in your direction and spam spotting as soon as you get there it’s not a squad that’s going to let you eat 5 feet away from the objective.
Honestly I’ve had so many issues with hogs that I’ve started killing them on site with the bow since its one shot and tossing a motion detector on it so i know where it is to come back to later. It does seem like they are far and few in between but that’s not new and has been my issue since day one. I have noticed also that after fighting, a group of hogs seem to magically appear somewhere near the engagement. Hoping to see more consistent spawns near mission areas one day.
When I used to use bow I would kill boars with it because the arrow marker was better than the silly largely unhelpful teeth one.
