Early Bayformers designs were fine. Bayformer Optimus is actually one of my more liked designs in fact. But from 3 onwards they got fucking stupid.

The big problem with Bayformers is all the Deceptions were shades of grey or black. Color was just not allowed. And this bled over into the Autobots too at points, like with Ironhide & Sideswipe. There’s really no reason to not have Ironhide as Red when the truck he is works perfectly in those colors and his design otherwise is perfectly acceptable.
My issue is that the cons stopped being a threat after a single movie then it just became a full on action adventure with warcrimes optimus prime instead of alien invasion films. TF1 was a solid sci-fi blockbuster.
The first movie was as good as it got.

Oh for sure the first movie is on a cinematic level the best of the entire series. It actually tries in areas the later films don’t and has the most creative use of camera angles as well, mostly as a result of them trying to work with all this complicated new CGI and not have it look bad.
I’d actually say the 2007 movie is fairly underrated in all honesty. But we don’t really have to worry or care about that stuff anymore anyways since we now have Bumblebee and they’ve essentially rebooted the entire thing.
Yeah I’d call Fugitive defective alright.

…i find it hard to disagree with this, but I still see Heisei Gamera on a higher level. Heisei Godzilla of course had six films to develop his personality, but I find Gamera the stronger, more “human” entity.

dude it IS. Bought Skyward Sword HD the day it came out…barely touched it. Bought Daymare 1998 last night, played it for maybe two hours or so, went right back to PHG. I don’t understand it. The thrill of the hunt? That must be it.
Well what other games are giving us matches like this? None really. Even DBD is a vastly different experience.
I managed to play through all of Duke 3D with two of my friends over the past 3 nights though, that’s been fun. And they just announced a Quake Remaster with 4K; Widescreen, enhanced models, new lighting, all the original expansions and a new one developed by Machinegames with local & online multiplayer and more importantly with Crossplay and Mod Support. So gonna be playing that with 'em too.
And I am very certain I shall be engrossed in Aliens Fireteam for a good while since I got that pre-ordered yesterday.
At a certain point you realize that there is no break between forum nonsense, only longer and shorter times between the stupid replies.
