Geez, what have a done here.
Didn’t mean to make such a big topic out of it.
I maybe should delete this topic again.
FSK18 Game Vs 8-10 year old Kids, also them having potatoes for mics
“but there is rape” - yeah so i teach them why thats a nasty man.
“but they chop off heads and dicks” - yeah , and how does that make you feel? you know thats a bad person"
“but but, won’t someone think of the children!”
EDUCATION… CONTEXT, RESPONSIBILITY, moral teachings, reality, etc… those are what matter to a child… not if someone gets killed in a movie!
na man its all good to have a discussion thats what makes the world a good place!
Well, I was overwhelmed by the way this turned out.
Nah, it’s up to the parents to teach children about online stuff like that.
My main point is that it heavily depends along the maturity of said child, and how well the parents have prepared them for it.
Personally I say that
Should not be given until a child can fully understand why that it is bad. And yes, some of the ones I read when I was 12 and I understood why it was bad.
But people being toxic etc has always been a part of multiplayer games and that won’t change, so as long as the child can understand that that toxic behavior is wrong and does not stoop to that level, then there is no problem with them playing those games.
Anyways, as long as the child (this can also apply to some adults) can show maturity and remain respectful and not be toxic/salty, then there should be no problem with playing the game.
Half of my replies were just messing around, so that partially derailed it a bit. Like UK said, it’s good to have some discussion posts.
Oh by the way @uk_spawn, what is PHG rated over there?
ESRB 17 “mature” - buts its only a reccomendation its not law or anything
"Combat is highlighted by frequent gunfire, screams of pain, and blood-splatter effects. Some explosive weapons cause bodies to burst into chunks of flesh/limbs. The Predator can use blades and laser weapons to decapitate enemies. As the Predator, players can also perform execution-style finishing moves on soldiers; the victims’ skulls and spines get ripped from their bodies. Some scenes depict skinned corpses with exposed buttocks. One mission prompts players to locate packages of drugs in a compound and to eventually burn them. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue. "
hahahha
Gotcha, it’s a ESRB Mature recommendation over here in the US for the same reasons.
I’m not going to discuss the parenting thing anymore so no more replies to that, like i said, there will always be good and bad parents.
As for the ingame matter with the microphones, their quality and volume, i wish we could have an option to allow a maximum decibel from the ingame voice chat, everyones microphones seem to be sending out at different volumes. a dB meter would solve it.
Along with that and the ability to mute, I’d like to see a volume slider option if a person has a mic, that way you can still hear them but it wouldn’t destroy your hearing.
This is still an infinitely better thread than “Username: XYZ is a cheater!”
You can mute players.
But muting is not always what we want.
I personally like the kiddies “overreaction” to me hunting them but the extreme volume isn’t often barrable.
yeah u can mute them. but if u do doesnt the sound bubble also dissapear? i like to locate people using their chatter
Nice try, Adolf! We don’t call them beef burgers here, we call them freedom slabs!
😉
No, I think the bubble remains. You just don’t hear them and have no risk of your hearing being damaged.
I know, I probably should have worded that better, but I want a more comprehensive volume system still keeping The option to mute, but giving a volume slider per person with mic and your suggestion of a decibel meter.
That’s why i want a dB meter implemented to the game, so you can set the maximum allowed volume sent from other players ingame voice chat.
alright im gunna jump back in game now… GGs all
