Honestly will we ever get true offline content?

If IllFonic cant pull off a online only game then stop supporting them, the dance people who hated f13s online are the same people who bought this game and still complain about it

And depending on the game offline will guarantee money example COD and evil dead, especially evil dead which all of their Facebook and Instagram comments are from people saying they weren’t gonns get the game since it was online only but with the addition of offline and now they will

And I’m not saying games cant be for a specific group but it really depends on the game, like really predator in now shape or form should have been built as an online 4v1 game, just like a fighting game shouldn’t be online only, even fortnite has offline content the only games for online only are your among us, fall guys and rocket league.

I’m not saying the game cant or should have online but for games like this there 100% should be options.

I’m not asking for a story mode I’m literally saying the private matches should be offline simple and straight to the point just like F13, yes the bots were dumb but to me it was fun same with the virtual cabin which was leagues more fun then playing the online

It may not be how marketing works but its get results like for call of duty regardless of it having had single player experiences clearly the playerbase and the devs thought the multiplayer was the games success… that was greatly disproved by the lack of sales for their online only game , and again for games like evil dead and aliens fireteam they have offline cause they know people are tired of online. But a way better example is EA with star wars regardless of hating the pay to win or whatever talked jedi made wat more money then both their multiplayer focused games cause again yes online helps and is necessary but majority of games arent made to be online only focused and also their target audience for this game is a dead player base so them again choosing to make an online only experience was wrong again. I’m not saying they should bow down but clearly online only games arent helping them. And people getting on me and others for wanting a mode regardless if that’s not what the game was aimed towards is ridiculous, just cause yall wont play the mode doesnt mean others wont and assuming that offline will not help the game or anything is wrong 100% because regardless of how the so would work people who want to play it will play it and if they enjoy the game and the offline and when the game officially dies then they can still play the game

Not to mention all that stuff is taking away from multiplayer content they could be making

The way to have done a single player was a challenge mode that takes the Illfonic Predator around the maps with things like a score challenge, a stealth challenge, or even a combat challenge. Like the Predator rooms of Arkham Asylum but with more murder. Just reuse the current maps and assets and a small narrative around that can be done.

Another way of doing that would’ve been the audio logs where in a 2025 portion we have Sean recapping the events of the challenge maps as they occurred in canon. So we can play it how we want to get the highest score, and once we get the highest score we get the debrief from Sean about what our Predator was doing or if it was even our Predator that did it. This could’ve been a way to hype up Cleopatra where our success is what’s making the OWLF scared and establishing her (us) as a threat. Y’know rather than doing the smooth brained thing of trying to hype us for a character nobody has met.

cod isnt different at all cause just like illfonic they thought multiplayer was they way to go and it was completely wrong, and NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT A STORY MODE!!! I’ve clearly said that all they need to do now is just add offline modes which they have done half of it already, we have the content to play solos we just need to to actually be offline, and it doesn’t matter if it sucks to you or not, you don’t wanna play it they don’t fucking play it. There are consequences to every game decisions made and not made, like this game decision to make it online only killed the game on arrival. Yes focusing of a “single player story mode” if I was suggesting that would take time away from the multiplayer content that people have been asking for before and till this day and still haven’t gotten, just like them doing multiplayer only took time and resources away from an offline mode or type of Predator game people actually wanted, which wasn’t a asymmetrical multiplayer game

Cod started off as being primarily single player FOCUSED and had some of the best single player experiences to date

Illfonic is an indie company with a history of multiplayer only games

It doesn’t make a difference

Yes a story mode takes more works but it’s the same arguments

That solo mode is a bastardized version of the multiplayer

There’s no reason to actually bother with it

Especially since your saying no offline mode killed the game

How is an offline mode designed worse than Nintendo games, the old Nintendo console mind you, going to do anything?

Difference is this was made to be multiplayer game

Like people have mentioned above, and this is something you should have read up on before buying the game.
PHG was announced as a multiplayer pvp game, nothing else, forget single player campaigns, offline, AI modes, and so on.

Im not saying people haven’t looked into the game, I’m saying that games like this aren’t made to be online only experiences, especially when it was announced that it was just that people hated it which is why the game failed cause people are tired of online only games and didnt want a 4v1 predator game, and they have bot options in the game now but for some idiotic reason its access is behind having an internet connection

Why do you think triple A devs don’t throw out bad indie quality games on the side?

Because you don’t release aweful quality because literally no one will play them

There needs to be a bare minimum attempt of quality at the very least

A. I do want this game to succeed dispite not playing it

oh my fucking god people did look into the game hence why the game mad NO MONEY!!! my argument is that games like this arent made to be online only clearly because if that is what people wanted it would have been a massive success which it clearly wasnt and still isnt. And so what if people just want to fight AI if you dont want to play it then dont fucking play it no ones forcing you to, if people want to play against AI instead of waitng 30 mins for a fucking game or playing against people to treat the game like its life or death then thats their choice just like it your choice to play a match against people doing the same shit theuy would be doing offline

We’ll this is just plain wrong. Obviously this game is never going to be in the same sales league as your EA or Ubisoft titles (doesn’t help that Predator is a niche IP with a limited fanbase) but the game, however buggy it is, has obviously sold enough that they’ve been supporting it with free and paid content for over a year (you can argue as to the quality of said content, but that’s not the issue here).

Again, you’re just spouting opinions as if they’re facts.

Citing a few comments you’ve seen here and there by people bemoaning the lack of single-player mode does not equate to ‘this game would have been massive had it had a single-player mode’.

These Devs were never going to be able to make the kind of game you have in your head, so you’re arguing about some imaginary scenario where some different Devs somehow made an epic single-player Pred game, and that the Pred IP is as popular as Marvel/Star Wars and sells fantastically well.

You’re better off just playing one of the many single-player games out there, rather than complaining about a multiplayer game advertised as a multiplayer game not being a single-player game. There are plenty of mindless Bot shooters out there to choose from, and the forthcoming Aliens FT and Back 4 Blood will add to that list.
