Predators who want to melee and need to remove the only counter to melee are so damn hilarious. Yes, parry does not make much sense, it really does not. Still, its completely needed and as it works now.

You can’t even limit it by stamina, if you do that imagine a predator jumping on you after you run. You’re dead.

This is a needed game mechanic even if it makes no sense.

Lowkey don’t know why Scout is described as a Long Range Class.

Scout (In my experience playing as and against) is more dangerous in Melee than it could ever be at Ranged with a borderline puny amount of Energy. Sure Cloak is “Unlimited”, but it still counts as “using Energy”, so if you happen to use Caster while Cloaked or worst, along with Thermal, you’re Overloading in no time flat.

Elder is actually the Go-To Class for Ranged fights (for me) because of his Energy Capacity and that his stats aren’t exactly Meele friendly in the Stamina department like how Scout’s are.

Overload has the shortest duration on scout and even less with cooling syncs. Overloading on scout is hardly the pain it is for every other class. Both elder and Scout are built to favor ranged combat. They just go about it slightly different.

Like @Lo_Leviathan said the energy regen on scout both overloaded or not is far better than elder however its capacity is less than elders. At this point Scout is more a ranged hit & run version of Valkyrie who’s a more melee oriented hit & run.

Like I told the horny dude, while scout can melee (I know I sure as fuck do) it’s a lot more risky since you’re one parry away from death as opposed to an alpha or hunter.

so you chose fashion over function, ill be blunt you have to live with being at a dissadvantage in melee. Try impenetrable ironside fearless, as for the melee it self try hitting from flanks, and try one to two hits jump or leap and repeat if the player is spamming knife time your swings inbetween their swings or just jump cast

I had honestly forgotten Scout’s Overload Passive, which does comes across as a surprise for me when facing the rare Scout player.

“Like hey, he already slammed like 5 seconds ago, wtf?”

Dunno why Illfonic doesn’t list these things like they do the Fireteam Passives, clearly and openly.
