Illfonic was outsourced an FPS segment of Star Citizen and it was completely scrapped and replaced by an in-house team and new engine.
So complete waste of time and money but they keep star citizen on their portfolio anyway

I think the issue there was with the way they split the game up into different modules (base game, campaign, squadrons) etc that wasnt part of the agreement because crytek considered these different games.
star citizen is not going to be a hit… its literally a life time commitment im not willing to de-invest in.
