Yeah it was a pretty dumb piece of equipment to add considering AIs tracking… and the fact that Predator has thermal vision… or that it legitimately only affects your teammates… negatively.

Flashbangs aren’t so useful either, but at least they only fuck up the guy who tosses it lol

Yeah well the thing is not so much the smokes, but the changing of vision will give Pred away no doubt. SO there is a useful mechanism there. So much of detecting where the pred is requires guess work and even if you can’t see him, you can at least run the hell away.

Every equipment in the FT arsenal can be used for at most a desperate attempt to get away. If someone can find a better use other than that than cool. It still adds to the drama.

I use thermals and decoys to send the pred away. Smokes not gonna be seen from too far away but those noise indicators, and the giant thermal glare definitely bait then. I’ve had predators walk right past me chasing the heat signature of the flare lol, it’s a good time

I don’t mind smoke, it is annoying, but when it’s used just focus on the mini map for AI and use sound to locate the AI’s and obviously Pred.

so here’s the deal, everybody uses the smokes at exfil. You can hear the pred’s stomping far more clear and its easier to pinpoint than the flashing eyes sound of a split second. You know the pred’s coming on exfil, if you are blinded by smoke, flashing eyes, stomping, doesn’t matter. You can’t hit what you can’t see unless by pure luck

if only. but that’s basically why is useless. The only way is useful is throwing a thermal, smoke and sound decoy at the same place and hope the pred is dumb enough to fall for it (some are, and is quite hilarious, lol)

Sometimes I just use the smokes as a decoy and he might not be on the ground in that area. When he’s up in the trees he has no alternative but to change his vision to see what the hell is in the smokes.

Smokes are great!
I use it to screw with random teammates and set their fps down to 10.

I use it at the end if matches combined with a teammates flairs where we set up a smoke thermal screen 20 meters off the chopper site. It works pretty well

Yeah. That’s about the only way those are useful. But if you have multiple people at exfil, then you can usually just fight the predator directly.

I was spit balling ideas in regards of smoke nades with @REYNOSO_FUA11 @Fire @TheSenate

What if the smoke stuck to the pred so when it leaves the smoke the cloak has a smoke trail. Or while the Pred is in the smoke you could see a outline of the Pred!
