For bad teamates it is.
Coordinated play won’t have that much trouble but it’ll cause too much trouble for new players. Besides it’ll still be trash

The game already is trash XD
Keep throwing the lesser players a bone they will remain stunted and never learn to work together as a fireteam should. This is the biggest problem with the game, the devs, and the player base: pander pander pander
Agreed.
There’s a reason why I started posting Hollow Knight memes.
Yes there’s pandering. Then there’s being ignored by your teamates. This idea is a step too far.
Besides I generally don’t like the idea in execution from a personal standpoint.
That’s why ya keep playing and say when you find teammates that actually communicate, make friends and play together, players also need to LEARN from failure not whine to get the hands held like a lot of players do and that’s on both sides of the board ft and pred. Adapting in this game is a must and those that can’t I’m sorry this game probably isn’t for them.
I shouldn’t have to play with friends to enjoy a game.
There’s also a difference between introducing a feature or balance change that favors team play but can be carried through by a good player in randoms (not as effecient if course, for example in siege one op with impacts can create rotates for themselves or on sight simple but a team can do so much more) and then something that literally only team work can solve.
Before I left this was something siege was doing and it was annoying. Certain set ups we’re only usable in a team which I didn’t always have available so I just couldn’t use them. And that’s if my team was competent.
Plus there’s also the scenario where a lone FT member gets netted. Yes it’s the FT fault for being netted (since LMS counters this) but there are scenarios where splitting up is affective.
So for instance let’s say you stay to distract the Predator while your friend goes to get Reinforcements. Netted and now you’ll die to dot damage no matter what health your at with no way to use healing items.
Plus what happens when your other teamates are downed but not dead.
Maybe so, but encouraging just not learning is bad enough, learn from failure, adapt and grow don’t just expect to have your hand held. Besides with the field medic specialization there really isn’t any excuse, anyone one can pretty much instantly get a teammate up.
What is the dude in the net going to learn by being netted.
It’s not his mistake it’s his teammates. And his teammates aren’t going to learn because they aren’t getting directly punished.
Actually they learn something simple as most times if you got netted you strayed from the group: don’t do that and for every teammate you lose is a punishment in the end as 2 field medics learned recently.
Why can a butter knife block a seven foot alien with a blade nearly the size of the player
What about the times that doesn’t happen. And what about the times the times I mention where seperating is affective.
And again it’s not a direct punishment so they aren’t going to learn.
Quite simple: it don’t take long for a teammate to slash a net with the knife, all it takes is the learning capacity required and as far as separating just have to learn when is the right time to be separating and you don’t HAVE to go alone, go in pairs simple. This game is a tactical team-based game as far as the ft is concerned and only by practice and adapting can anyone hope to get better at it. There will always be predators that remind people of that. Hell I just did a little bit ago and this fireteam did just fine besides thinking with two field medic supports that they were invincible. They were wrong.
You overestimate randoms
Timing has nothing to do with it.
You do if 2 if your teamates are dead (again this example is for distracting the Pred while going for reinforcements)
Ya but right now it doesn’t handle like one.
Biggest mistake I’ve seen time and time again: separating to go reinforce. I’m sorry but that’s called stupidity, I’m a major jerk when I’m pred. First thing I do is find your reinforcement radio kill just one player, trap the radio. Then just wait for nature to take its course[quote=“Eshtion, post:59, topic:19741”]
Timing has nothing to do with it.

Really? So knowing when to and when to not sepearate is not a thing of timing at all? Sorry but it is for example: the logging map objective to collect the bills that one can easily be done with two people staying together… TIMING.
That’s a different circumstance.
My scenario is actually good because it’s done when under pressure from the Pred. Not just seperating on a whim because there’s one dead teamate. It forces the Pred to pick one if two targets. Losing the other one.
Not just waiting at the Reinforcements. If you do that it doesn’t matter they’re dead anyways so it’s still better.
No that’s staying together.
Yes at a logical juncture in which you can separate into pairs in which you chose to do so based on the mission objective at that particular TIME
And yet if you are under pressure from the pred would he not be watching you? And logical preds would be able to see through the guise, be watching yours and your teammates movements and go for the one that split off again simple.
That’s not timing.
In the morning you have breakfast. I did not time my breakfast I just had breakfast. Doing something when you can do it isn’t timing. Timing is doing something when it specifically gives you an advantage, rather than just doing it when you physically can.
No because you both go for reinforcements. You go through an oval shape. Either target he chooses he loses the other.
Yeah like separating in pairs at a particular juncture so as to retain some form of advantage rather than shooting yourself in the face going alone.
In the end here’s the facts: this is a highly tactically based game, those with the capability to think tactically will thrive in this kind of environment. After all you can’t have a winner without a loser, ya win some ya lose some and your ability to accept this fact is one of the many keys to be able to enjoy your time playing.
No its not. It’s just seperating. Timing requires a specific time. This mean both a minimum limit and a maximum limit. You can wait for hours sitting at a junction while all 3 teamates are with you after catching up, and then sperate randomly. Or not. and keep waiting.
By your logic waiting for an update to download is timing
Op gun goes brrrrr.
True I used to play siege now I’m the squad leader of an esports team so Im obliged to agree.
Don’t see what that has to do with anything though.
Just because it’s more tactical doesn’t mean that a change is good. Especially since the net gun is still going to be garbage against good teams. It’ll just make it worse for randoms who won’t learn a thing because they’re too casual to learn.
I’ve found this excuse to be overused no offense meant, it’s another of the biggest issues. At first was it probably true? Probably but at this stage it just comes down to lack of overcoming obstacles. Like the parry system, I didn’t claim “op” I worked around it. When they nerfed the plasma caster, I changed my strategy and again when they nerfed the combi so on and so forth.
Too many people on both sides of the board use this as an excuse for losing when 9/10 it comes down to skill.
A single FT can almost out dps a melee, melee is useless.
Predator is easy track meaning that two FT can out dps a predator.
FT has hitscan Pred has projectile meaning Pred has a much higher skill gap then FT does.
The only reason why preds win 9/10 is because of noobs which only showcases why SBMM is important.
