Playing at 1440p.

i couldn’t tell the difference honestly… i use a 240 hz 1080p monitor but it doesn’t matter cause i don’t get 240 fps

If I choose the 3840x2160, in general, it gets a bit bigger than it should be (icons, letters, etc) comparing to the correct resolution (I tested in other games). And since the 1440p does shows to other people on P:HG, it has to be bugged or something, since it’s not showing for me.
And yes, it gets a bit grainy.

For me, it’s not about the FPS really, it’s just 'cause if you do not use the native resolution, the game doesn’t run as well as it could and should be. >.<

Gotcha. Weird…I ll tinker around with the res myself when I get home and I ll report if I find out something.

That would be awesome, buddy. Thank you!

Same issue for me. i think it may require a dump of all files in epic registry and all. As well as a clean einstall of the game and the epic launcher. might do that tomorrow

Regardless of the setting on the game it will render at whatever resolution is configured in Windows.

Only way I could manage to render this game at 720P was lowering the res on Windows. Setting it up in game had no effect, as the usage and framerate in my GPU was exactly the same at 1080P or 720P and the visuals were identical. When I lowered in Windows the framerate went up.

James Cameron plays the game at 8K 120fps. He will release this update if the community deserves it.

Anyone have also issue with 3840x1080 resolution? Game looks awful, camera is so close to the character. I can see only torso. Any fixes for that? I have to play at 1920x1080 res using 32;9 monitor which sucks af playing with black bars on both sides :(

I thought about that, since reinstalling only the game did not work, maybe doing also with Epic could work. I ended up playing at full windowed at 4k, it works. Not as good as it should, but still better than using the others resolutions.

Well, for me at least, didn’t work it that way, since I still can select all the available resolutions and the game fits into it. Funny thing that I have this problem only with this game. >.<

Unleash it!

I’m not sure if this game supports the ultra wide resolution…

It does when I play it.

Set a 1080x1920 wallpaper on your desktop, centered with actual sizing. Your monitor I am asumming will be larger than 1080p-like 4k. THen set your game to windowed mode at 1080p. Align your window to the centered wallpaper. Presto! This gives your game the benefit of 1080p rendering framerates, and you can hide your icons on your desktop while everything being centered on your monitor!
Your videocard’s special settings also must be not atached to the game (ie, not affecting the game settings).

You can select them and it will say it is whatever resolution you set in game, but at least on all my computers the behavior is the same. Even if it’s says 720P it still renders at 1080P. When connected (and windows is configured) to a 4K display, it will render at 4K regardless of the setting in the menu. I reported this bug and some other people say it has been like that since the beta version. So it seems it is an ongoing issue that has not been solved.

Certain elements of this forum have given me pause. I think the general population may not be ready for the full game yet. James Cameron will think on this.

Thats not working for me … i have 4k monitors 3840x2160 (native) , max i can set on is 1080 p , i tryed to enable Virtual Super Resolution & GPU Scaling in Radeon settings, but it’s still the same, even if i try in fullscreen or borderless or window …

Where is this and whatever you’re using to do it, disable it and allow PGH to handle it. Its probably bypassing your video resolution in PGH’s settings.

Same issue happened to me. I SOLVED it by pressing ‘RESTORE DEFAULTS’ button at the bottom left of the screen next to the ‘BACK’ and ‘APPLY CHANGES’ buttons and it went to 2560X1440. Hope this works for you.
