You re refering to jumping directly on to a branch from the ground? It sure is faster. I am asking if you feel that it is not always working as it is supposed to (pointing directly on a branch while standing at the right distance) and the leap indicator not appearing.
Pred mains, do you find the branch leap system problematic?
Ye that
This thread is evidence that yo’ve been playing so much that you want a system within a asystem to micro manage dynamics that would ultimately mirror reallife for fundamentally not much value interms of gameplay. Kind of like how RDR2 takes wild life engagement way too far.
Next thing you know you’ll be asking for a pork farming system for fur trading other shit.
Oh wait, but ths is tree branches…my bad. lets add grapples, repels, backwards/upside down gymnastics to the tree system. Then predkour will be perferk.
Predkour is one of the few advantages the predator has against the FT.
If its broken, then it sure is affecting the gameplay.
I ve found myself countless times, standing under a tree,
moving left and right making my cloak obvious to the FT,
trying to reposition myself, to make the game understand that I want to jump on a branch and make the damn leap indicator appear.
You poor soul and yet hundreds players seem to use it ok.
Apparently you havent noticed that everyone on this thread except you, agree that its broken.
But I ve seen the kind of bullshit you unload on every thread on these forums, so miss me with your childish remarks.
well I dont agree and i think its a waste of time!!!

Good. Bye bye now.
The trees in this game are a complete joke.
For each side cause a simple (invisible) brench can save the Pred from eating a grenade.
You would sound monumentally MORE smart by pointing out that all game mechanics in games are a joke . But since you’re here all day long…might as well point it out right?
I’d like to see a mechanic that allows a pred to latch onto any part of the trunk. This could help with adding a degree of variation on height and also making it less predictable.
And you would sound much LESS of an ignorant if you stood quiet instead of writing nonsense, cause this thread is about brenches and not about mechanics in general.
Leaping in general is badly implemented in this game.
Should have been like in AVP2010. If there’s something in the path, you can’t leap.
Sometimes you even see the indicator where you are supposed to land and even though there’s absolutely nothing in the way, you still don’t land there
2 years into the initial release and you guys are NOW having this conversation? When did it finally hit you? Now this image makes sense.
If they are going to leave the leaping system as is, then at least they should add this sound everytime the pred hits his head on a branch.
More like people prefer an actual parkour system instead of this weird trees-as-traintracks railroad that you hop on and off.
Its clunky and bad NES game mechanics.
There are ps2 games with better movement options than walking around on rails with an arcing leap. For something modern, look how fluidly Ancestors Humankind Odyssey handles tree movement.
The badly implemented parkour limits the map layouts too since all the maps have to be the same interlinking 2-3 copy paste trees to compensate for the railroaded movement options.
Yeah its shit.
