But mobility could lead to better positioning during melee at a price of one extra swipe
Pred-rant!
Maybe. I think if someone masters City with Analytic it can do pretty well, he is fast and that spec + downrange will have arrows giving 70 dmg, plasma shots doing 50 dmg, spear throws doing 120 dmg. Doesnt matter how many FT are left, doesn’t have to rely on getting one trapped. Get good at scanning the fireteam and come close when the FT are like that, could be worth a try.
Pred can make it happen. It’s kinda frustrating cause you have to be really good. Plus you have to have patience to loose a lot against premades just to see how close you get to winning
Im also interested in the tactics against premades. Basically a predator who is in the conversation has to be able to kill one FT. Getting second winded or not, he’ll have to retreat and heal.
Pred has time to heal before reinforcement radio appears.
If two of the FT decide to chase so the third one can sneak way to reinforce, it is essential that pred keeps track on the third guy while luring the other two away to separate them. Motion trackers are key here. Once the third FT makes a move, pred should bolt after him and take advantage of the separation. Then he’ll have a chance to heal before meeting the other two at the reinforcements.
If all three decide to head for reinforcements, i think pred can cautiously follow and try to pick one of them off, but not engage in a full on fight unless he has a good chance to take all three out. If he succeeds taking one out, letting him bleed will buy more time if others head to reinforce. If one falls back to help, he should chase die the other FT. If two fall back, he should not attack full on, but take potshots to deplete supplies. Or he can head on the direction of the radio and throw traps all over the place in hopes that one will get trapped and downed with minimal HP loss and a 2v1 will follow.
Very theoretical, but there’s gotta be a solid in…then plan for the pred.
There’s a solid issue with your tactic there. You said while healing the pred should keep an eye out for the 3rd man to separate. The issue is if your able to see the fireteam while healing, a good premade will find you via healing sounds and light you up.
I’m a fireteam main man take my word for it lol
How could they if they follow the honor code, they even waited for the guy to pick up the pistol though
Tfw you’re a security guard you hear a noise, panic and reach for handgun and get murdered at some peaceful whaling camp because you touched something that could be interpreted as a weapon
they were non-combatants
Yeah, backwater map, the camp on the top left corner of the map. There was 1 pig at the south entrance of the camp (the one with the blue water pipes over it) and nothing to the nort west where the pigs sometimes are outside the bounds of the map.
Yeah I used to overlook the importance of the medic perk, thinking that its better to go for Impenetrable and ironside and that these would prevent me from needing to heal often,
but 1st,
they dont do shit against premades
and 2nd
it is insanely note worthy what a difference those few extra seconds you save with the medic perk make regarding the pressure you can apply to the FT and avoiding getting downed when in SW!
In general every second counts in this game especially when you play as the Predator.
As we know preds have no honor my guy. Thats why they fly to other planets and try to kill physically and technologically inferior races and then claim its “honorable”.
Though us humans and kings still dumpster their ugly asses to assert human dominance and flex over their bodies more often than I flex at the gym 7 days a week.
I always felt that the speed with which the Predator loses stamina and the time it takes to refill, could be more generous.
Both AvP preds breaking the geneva conventions
Species needs to go down for their war crimes
Meaning that either motion trackers or target isolation has to be used successfully.
I think the absolute most versatile build is hunter fervent bow katana fearless down range adrenal. Heals and traps. This build absolutely slays offensively and has the health and ability to reposition to be aggressive and alternate between melee and ranged.
Pred has plenty going for him these days. James Cameron has witnessed average preds doing crazy damage with combos like Valkyrie, ghost and samurai sword. Just jump in, slash jump out, repeat. Unless you’re on pc aiming with a mouse it’s really hard to do much damage back.
Even zerker rushing is viable again since you can use the right combo of perks and that silly specialisation that gives you health for a claim. Seen it many times. Jump in and trade a bunch of health for a quick kill/claim right at the beginning and wear them down from there. It’s very effective because you can be unloading into the zerker while he is claiming and not get the 2nd wind unless at least one other guy is shooting him too.
Overall pred is not OP, but there are a few perk and specialisation combinations that are pretty ridiculous if the player is halfway decent.
Some classes are ok with the stamina regen they have. It’s a tactical element so I’m fine with it overall
I’ve asked Illfonic for a predator healing syringe about 2 months ago x’D
Hopefully it’ll be in the game
Knowing how to use a gun makes you a combatant lol
