It’s not just a simple circle shoot, it’s strafe right and circle shoot. The predator’s melee attacks line up with the predator’s camera, which is over the right shoulder, if as FT you want to dodge the predator attacks, circling to the right will bring you out of the cone of attack faster. If you circle shoot while strafing left, you will let the pred land more melee than necessary.

The predator cone of attack for melees coming from where the predator’s camera view is, over the right shoulder, is also why you want to aim at the shoulder of the weapon arm if you are FT parrying the pred with your knife. This is especially the case with the alpha sickle, as it is a harder weapon to parry so you need to give yourself a better shot to make sure the Predator cries whenever they try to engage in melee

I am not speaking because I forgot to set my Nvidia recording device to the right sound device where the mic is. I am WITH the kids, its random people I found in the game. You can see that by the end when I am left alone nobody is speaking. They don’t do much buy I found them quite funny and at least, compared to so many other people at least have mics and communicate. Did not mind playing with the kids, even if we lost one bit.
PS. Respect should not be determined by age.

Lol chill man I was joking

To some degree, I know :)

Lol good

Add a combat roll for FT

Just like SWBFII

That game is 3rd person shooter. Rolling around in first person would be really disorientating and leave you completely open to attack. They would need to make the game 3rd person first.

No it isn’t

You can play from either perspective

You would know if you played it

The roll isn’t disorienting at all in first person

I did, very little but I did. I only played in 3’rd person for the little I’ve played (did not like it). Did not even knew it has a first person mode. How does the roll work against a jedi in melee? The little I’ve played I was killing them really easy when I had the jedi/sith.

The screen just shifts in the direction you roll

Screen orientation stays normal

Jedi are absolutely deadly

The melee is a death sentence to any regular units

Plus they are also more mobile

You need to keep your camera on the predator and not lose focus on him since he already has an advantage because he has 3rd person. You roll once, then he is on your back, somewhere and you don’t even know where. A roll would not do much if he can get back up on your ass a fraction of a second later. You would need something like a roll and pin the predator in place for a second and somehow lock camera on the predator.

A roll would get you out of melee range

And if your not with your team then you deserve to die anyway

The predator is so fast that its meaningless if you roll a meter away. You also lose focus on him and its detrimental. Not everybody run a premade where people keep line of sight and plays well and even so its not as easy as people want to make it look. Go to the post where people are posting videos and count the number of kills done in melee. See how its overwhelmingly in favor of melee kills over anything else.

Parry does this:

1-Allow you to stop the predator with a parry (its a short stun like thing).
2-You can keep focus of the predator.
3-You can dance around the predator and take advantage of weapon tracking. Some are far harder to do so like scythe and elder sword.
4- (EDIT) And you can do damage to him, forgot this one.

You need to replicate the above with roll. Or its going to be a MASSIVE nerf to the only counter to melee.

Not saying to remove parry

You can parry all day but eventually hell get you

A roll would add an evasive manuever

Think about being the last man trying to reinforce

Are you going to parry and wait/hope you survive or will you kite the Predator?

Oh, I believe you wanted to replace parry. Extra content they can add all they want for both sides, anything is welcomed.
Then again you will probably need to look at rebalancing if you also add a roll on top of parry. Now you can quick parry and dodge as you pump the predator up with bullets.

Now if you’re the last one out and the predator is on you, you’re dead meat, roll or no roll assuming the predator knows how to play.

For melee I believe a combat stance is necessary

And there’s another thing. For me personally I think a roll would be better to avoid range fire from the predator. Like he shoots a plasma and I roll out of the way quick! I do think it would involve a lot of rebalancing.
Then again I would like a 3rd person for FT so much, something like Division has.
