I fully agree to the case of “Predators that mimic mythical human warriors” being slightly overused.

I think the issue might actually be that they don’t have the AVP license and thus can’t use them. The exception to this is seemingly the shuriken since it appeared in The Predator. So Scar, Chopper, Celtic, Wolf, and frankly anybody of that branding might be off limits unless something is used in the solo films. Scar’s helmet at best cameos in The Predator but lacks the marking. That might not be enough to warrant the inclusion.

Scar might’ve been worked on with the intention of being released but for one reason or another be it Disney might reboot and want a clean slate for AVP or the license was too costly (maybe both) we don’t know. This might even extend to the Scarface Predator because while merch may be done of him (Neca also holds the AVP license) the game has a complicated legal issue preventing re-release and things might get screwy if they get into two legal battles over it and I doubt Illfonic want another lawsuit.

Regardless the first two films do have representatives and if The Predator is a hard sell then after Predators you don’t have movie content to draw from. They’re gonna have to do some OC stuff and most solo comics just use Jungle or City Hunter bodies anyways. This extends to the Lost Tribe as most of them just use City Hunter bodies which they already sell through the class and some of them even lack things like wrsistblades, computers, or both gauntlets and or plasmacasters making them hard to build for. Keep in mind that Neca’s re-releases haven’t all come out yet and not everyone knows what they’re doing. They only got Alpha done because they happened to be in the right spot to talk to them.
