It’s not much to go on, but Hand Held emits a burst of red plasma gas when reloading. FTs should train in privates and see how it looks to them, and then learn to be able to spot it when used against them.
We know the blasts are fast, so from the time you hear the sound of the shot being fired to the impact sound you should be able to guesstimate how close the Pred is. Then it’s a case of finding cover, and looking for that red mist… Yes, I know it’s like finding a needle in a haystack but other than just wildly spraying bullets everywhere and throwing nades recklessly hoping for splash damage XP indicators to show where you hit it, it’s all we have right now. Directional headphones give you a general direction to look as well I suppose.
Of course, if anyone has developed a sure fire way of locating a perfectly still, invisible Predator using a hand held I’d love to know. I refuse to accept that there is no effective counter to someone using this.
