Oh please, even James Cameron himself disowned Prometheus, it was a failed attempt to recapture the horror movie magic of Aliens and is NOT part of the extended Universe.
Right next to Alien Ressurection and AVP Requiem the only movies that still remain in continuity are the first 2 Aliens, first 2 Predators and Predators movie.

Except james Cameron isnt the say all do all. Ridley scott is. Ridley scott built off of Prometheus with covenant which established the set prequel and origin for the aliens as david as their creator and not having existed until far in the future, not in the past. That being said, with disney now owning aliens, there is some (csnt say if they are reputable) rumors they want to redo the alien franchise, which could see an all new canon for the aliens. Personally the alien didnt need the origin story, they were more terrifying without one, but facts are facts and promethus and covenant are the current canon and earliest sightings of the aliens, which makes alien, aliens, maybe colonial marines (not betting on that though), Prometheus and covenant as the established canon alien universe. Predator, predator 2, predators and the newest predator and the predators canon, with currently no known canon of the alien and predators having met. For all we know the predators if they exists as canon in the alien franchise seem to be extinct by the time alien happens, because there is no way they wouldnt have popped up to fight this perfect organism on lv-426, but nothing. The planet had elite marines and a deadly unknown (except by Ridley’s testimony and what secrets weyland yutany had) species that was strong, fast, highly intelligent, and stealthy and the predators didnt show up? A bit fishy, so most likely, if they are canon, they 1. Havent even met an alien according to alien canon. 2. Are nowhere to be seen, normally good, but not in this case. There is no extended universe, there is the avp universe which has it’s own canon, the predator universe with it’s own canon, and the alien universe with it’s own canon. Currently there is no canon interaction between the 3. Not even with concrete jungle, any of the avp games, or the old avp rts game.
One last tidbit, according to ridley scott, blade runner exists in the alien universe, so to add to the alien canon is the blade runner films. It came from a theory that ridley scott ended up confirming.
Maybe not all is true… but fir sure the parry is bullshit… even without wristblade the strenght of the predator is simply too much for an human. And the bomb disarm is even worst… maybe the could a better work making like in friday the 13th… giving the fireteam specific members with a background… that would be better also for immersion… who cares about the dummyfaceless soldiers we use here?

Except Covenant made the xenos into a fucking cliche and Ridley’s word is about as good as an expired coupon these days.
Also you clearly don’t know how Dark Horse operates, allowing actual owners to distribute work through them and Ridley hasn’t owned the Xenos in years, not since after Alien 3.
Fox owns both Predator and Xenomorphs now and Dark Horse distributes the comics, honestly if you actually thought Prometheus and Covenant would help your argument, I’m not the one that needs to go back and learn their shit.

Ridley did say that, during an interview he stated if Covenant was a success, he had plans for 3 follow up movies featuring david as the main villian not the aliens and would have the engineers coming after him for what he did to them. As of currently ridley hasnt abandoned anything as well, even though it’s about a year old, ridley scott has reportedly been working on the script of you guessed it, the alien covenant sequel called alien awakening. In the interviews before that is when scott said he wanted to do 2 moves that followed Prometheus, one of which was covenant and then stated if covenant did well he even wanted to do a 4th prequel before the first alien movie. However with covenant doing poorly (bad movie doesnt equal non canon remember that and for example look to the new star wars, last jedi was awful but still canon). I dont think we will get that 4th prequel and if disney doesnt do a reboot, then we will get he 3rd that Ridley has been working on (the script mind you). Which with all of this co formed as facts from interviews, proves the canon doesnt exists with dark horse and you are literally crying over something just because you can’t take 10 minutes to look everything up. Not gonna lie, constantly proving you wrong still feels good, I thought the feeling would fade, but it hasnt. Thank you for that.
I highly doubt the devs will remove any of the stuff you want them to, so you’ll more than likely have to adapt…or don’t.

Because this is a game, not the 87 film. Devs are just adding alt game mechanics to make things their own. They did the same stuff in Friday the 13th. I mean Roy never had all the capabilities of Jason, yet in the game he does. It’s just a game, not a recreation of the films .

There has to be compromise with mechanics or else this game would have been a cluster fuck. Currently there are balance changes that will eventually come, but right now devs are more focused on the bugs, queue time and other things to ensure everyone can play smoothly, which is how it should be. The mechanics (besides the current parry system and maybe the spotting system) are good, a d will get better as time goes by. With the release of new content I’m hoping to see new mission objectives, new game mechanics and other changes that’ll have people adapt or get left behind.
Then they shouldn’t have used authenticity to the Predator license as a selling point, also Ridley is not working on anything, he’s probably crying cuz his precious flop Covenant was panned.

True, if the company that owns it denounces it that makes it non canon, but fox never did that, neither did disney. More likely than not disney will, but should disney take that route, everything else goes like with star wars, which means all the comics, books, games will go ton leaving most likely only alien and aliens as canon, and the 4 predator movies as canon, then they would work from there, but with no word from them and just rumors and speculation, we currently only have ridley scott having been working on the script, whether he still is is definitely up in the air, which is why I worded it hoe did by stating the news of him writing the script was a year old news, unfortunately only time will tell and we have to wait to see if changes happen if any.
Also, I would like to take this moment to simply apologize for any insults, that was wrong of me and isnt fair to you when even though we stand on different sides we are both fans of the same universe. I am sorry for any insults sent from me to you. I do agree with you on some points of your post that changes need to be made. Disarming the bomb as a mechanic should be apart a class or a perk, not just inherent. I do hope despite our differences we can move past this as fans of the franchises and hopeful players who want to see the game succeed, I want it to, and I’d like to think you want to too.
