Somehow, true.

However, I think the game designers and artists did a great job. Music, sound and artstyle are fantastic. The game is very close to the original movie from 1987. Hunt is a unique game mode which is not found in any other game. Clash is trash, though.

Sadly, there have been lots of bugs probably caused by less careful programming. For instance, why use a proprietary data format for loadouts?

Also the game is broken in that it straight up doesn’t work. I just died because I got locked into a mudding animation, and was still stuck in place from a trap after I had already released myself from the trap. Like, what the fuck.

Man Eater and RDR2 are nice singleplayer games. Finished them upon release.

I enjoyed the original Resident Evil 2 and 3 twenty years ago but the demos of the RE2 and RE3 remakes as well as Resident Evil Village could not convince me.

Never got into Dead by Daylight and Friday 13th. I simply didn’t enjoy them after having played Predator: Hunting Grounds.

Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warzone and so on are not my cup of tea since you have to collect all that stuff just like in many singleplayer games. With a premade team, I assume Apex Legends is lots of fun, though.

So dbd isn’t a bad choice if you still wanna play a asymmetrical game. before I played it I played PHG but once it got repetitive I moved to dbd which had a whole lot more killers survivors and maps

The game is broken. Ft is overpowered. Give pred more perks to take and give it’s hand held pistol more power, it would balance the game.

here goes the pc cheater thread again… You know how easy it to use 1911 and second wind a pred. it doesn’t even have to be a scout…
tip for preds use energy regen plasma cannon and spam it… city hunter and elder benifit from large energy pool… you can get 3 charged blasts off and not over heat… so quit bitching and kill some FTs

Fireteam is not overpowered. If you play quick play, most fireteams can be eliminated with some skill and patience.

You must use cunning and intelligently engage the fireteam. Head-on duels don’t work. Just like in the original movie from 1987.

Actually, there is a rough difficulty indicator. The more Epic players are in fireteam, the more difficult. Only premade fireteams especially consisting of Epic players deal extreme damage e.g. with “automatic” pistols and pose a significant challenge even for highly-skilled predators.

Some general hints:

  1. Focus on a single weapon at first.
  2. Start playing a superior class first like elder-stalker with down range and plasma caster. Its ranged damage is extreme and can down many fireteam classes with a single hit.
  3. If you have difficulty in finding the fireteam play as hunter-tracker.
  4. Don’t claim. Use downed fireteam member as bait or eliminate them with ranged weapon.
  5. Don’t stay cloaked and don’t switch between thermal and normal view too often. Good fireteam member will detect and attack you. Cloaking makes noise and is only perfect if staying stationary. Switching between thermal and normal view creates flash which is visible from a long distance.
  6. Avoid close combat against full fireteams. Close combat is only halfway safe against single fireteam members. Superior melee weapons: alpha sickle, elder sword, combistick and net gun.
  7. Hitting enemies is easy with the hand held plasma caster but it has got only low damage. So, don’t put too much training time into it.
  8. Do not enter buildings with fireteams inside. Just shoot inside with fully charged plasma caster shots.
  9. Just like all weapons only use them if the tactical situation is appropriate. For example, it’s difficult to hit moving targets with the Yautja bow but it is easy to hit a fireteam member’s head who is trying to revive his comrade.
  10. Avoid duels.
  11. Don’t eat boars too close to the fireteam.
  12. Just leave if all fireteam members are Epic.

The game is very complex. I have played from release and I am not familiar with all of the weapons neither for predator and nor for fireteam. For instance, I did not know that it’s best to drop bear traps on top of fireteam members and not on the ground.

Bane is overrated, that extra 10% damage can be used in something more useful.

Tracker is just op af, I only use it for trolling.

PDL is literally a anti cloak shield in a small area, good against disk users with high dpi.

But since a lot of pc preds use tricks on good pc squads, there is really no line to be drawn. Everything goes.

I traded bane for thick skin or/and owlf trained in many of my loadouts a while ago to stop getting one shooted. With a team bane isnt necessary cus the damage multiple good ft can do is already high enough.

The extra damage can come in hand more when you are playing solo and is the only one doing damage to the pred so you need to outdamage him 1v1 but then again if you bump into a pred with Stalker or ghost if he focus on you can get down too fast. Its a Double Edge sword.

I only use my Tracker pdl build against predator players that either use it when they play as FT or have been dicks to me for no reason.
