The developers are making changes. I get what your saying and that’s unfortunate. But this game is still fresh, I don’t even think a month old if I’m correct and it takes time to fix code. Don’t get wrong. I hope they don’t make stubborn choices but they are working with us players. Just need a little patience

The true death was the lack of support. They updated the game every 3 months because of console update payments (25k per update). If your game isn’t balance and you can only release balance updates every 3 months, that broke more stuff than it fixed…

I played Evolve in ESL for a while. The meta was much too restrictive and there were only two viable monsters for a very long time. And honestly, in ESL stage 2 fights were very common and recommended. As hunters you really wanted to break half his health already in stage 1.

But the publisher behind the studio that made Evolve asked them to do things that were received very sour by the public. And after two months the learning curve was so high you couldn’t play Evolve casually either.

And Predator will become much like that as well. In 3 months time Predator players will be so good that new fireteam members will barely enjoy playing with other randoms.

The teamplay as hunters in evolve was way more complicated then FT teamplay. but i agree with you. Same counts for rainbow six tho… and still people are playing/buyin it.

If you have a lot of noobs, you can throw them together. If you don’t have enough players, you have to throw everyone together. You can’t be picky and let them set filters, they won’t ever find a game with a normal ping.

Only if Youtubers have their back and they spend a bit on marketing.

Hunt: Showdown almost died, but they chose to invest heavily in a few Youtubers who kept talking about the game. The playerbase isn’t insanely high, but it’s still climbing. Almost a year after release. A game with 2 gamemodes and 2 maps. But a lot more replay-ability.

you play hunt? its just out on ps4 and i really enjoy that game.
havent played it since the last patch tho. but was planning to try out the fast shooting repeater perk very soon :)
I’m a only prestige 5, but was top 10 leaderboards with kills on quickplay

That double barrel shotgun and uppercut (with fanning) combo is just a beauty

P5 as well, but on PC. Played since release, got a little verbal with my old teammates at one point so I only play now and then.

I see people mention Evolve’s matchmaking.

Well guess what, the players were mostly the problem there as well, being entitled. ‘I only want to be monster’, ‘I only play support or I dc’, blablabla.

The players were the problem there and I see the same behaviour here. Stop being a selfish entitled brat.

I still play Evolve btw, ps4 since beta. <3

If every connect attempt would result in a game… people would understand and dont bitch about it.
I get your point of view, but dont look at the players like selfish brats and look at the real connection problem. This is the thing that gets people frustrated, not the estimated 5-7 miute queue…

I cant tell you how frustrating it is to be unable to play as a predator and end up in a full lobby without predator…

I also want to play pred. Would do it all day if I could. But I mix in some FT games, solo/duo/4. Even in private games, all guys want a match as pred :) learn to share lol

that says alot about you (in a positive way), but not everyone is you. and a matchmaking logic should be able to handle that.

Only way to ‘fix’ it, is to add bot FT.

Trust me, nobody wants that. For pred its boring and for FT frustrating.

Indeed, there is no way to fix longer queue times for predator. i fully agree with that.
But making them 1/3 of what they are now, is a possibility. fix timeouts and queues will be 1/3 (or faster) for predator and this will also impaxt FT queue in a positive way.

You don’t want Bots, you really really don’t. It might be “more” fun. But it’s a fix to patch a crack in the dam. Maybe noone is saying it loud enough, but you gotta fix the “dam” first. Remember Evolve’s bots? That was fun maybe the first 6 hours. After that… they became a joke. Cuz, they are bots.

We need live matchmaking right up until the match starts. No more 2/5 players there, 120 second wait: start match nonsense.
