The true death was the lack of support. They updated the game every 3 months because of console update payments (25k per update). If your game isn’t balance and you can only release balance updates every 3 months, that broke more stuff than it fixed…
I played Evolve in ESL for a while. The meta was much too restrictive and there were only two viable monsters for a very long time. And honestly, in ESL stage 2 fights were very common and recommended. As hunters you really wanted to break half his health already in stage 1.
But the publisher behind the studio that made Evolve asked them to do things that were received very sour by the public. And after two months the learning curve was so high you couldn’t play Evolve casually either.
And Predator will become much like that as well. In 3 months time Predator players will be so good that new fireteam members will barely enjoy playing with other randoms.
