Unheard opinions like always

I think FT is already pretty good when it comes to surviving.
20ish bullets form Mercenary (bane + deadly) puts Hunter into 2nd wind.
While I with Down Range have to shoot 1 fully charged arrow + 2 uncharged just do down Dante and that’s the case if he doesn’t pop his syringe and if I place my shots.

Now there’s field medic problem lol

All in all, I think FT has enough of everything, and trust me on this, I have like 34 days game time just as FT. xD

I know you man I feel you.
34 days thats alot of hours on ft man.

The ps5 tells me hours of gameplay on games I just crossed the 3000+ hours on this game.

I thought thats was alot I ran into a player and we played a few rounds as ft he was from across the pond somewhere and I looked at his hours after accepting his FR he had 5000+ I was blow away

It’s alot of hours for any game, but to be honest, I kept playing PHG 'cause I play it with friends from time to time and that’s always fun. Playing with randoms who don’t even mud up eventually becomes pain in the rear and quite boring when you have to carry 3 potatoes in almost every match.

I’m on PC so I’m on Epic and there’s an option to see how many hours have you spent playing any game you choose. I believe you, I know few guys who play this game every day for several hours, few hours in the morning or afternoon and few hours in the evening.

I can’t do that, 'cause life obligations etc, but even when I could, I didn’t, like if I do something very often, whatever that is, I get bored quickly.

The best matches I had was when I actually missed playing PHG.

Well most of my hours came due to the pandemic. I was out of work all the way till September so had nothing to do but play. When my job brought me back my play time has decreased alot. Im sure I would have 5000+ if I was still out of work like the unlucky

This is the crux of the matter. I think it’s just impossible to balance this game given the amount of variables.

FT (Random, uncoordinated players) in comparison to FT (Communicating, coordinated team) are light years apart, and you can’t balance the Pred play against both.

I win the majority of my games because if I’m honest the majority of the time I’m facing random FT players. They may have one or two skilled players that cause me issues, but nothing that I shouldn’t be able to handle.

If I face a good, communicating team making use of the right classes/perks, it’s a whole different game, and a damn sight harder one. I have beaten squads like this, but on a lot of occasions you’re looking at a loss (usually down to them being able to exfill, as it’s nigh on impossible to get them all down).

I’ve come to the conclusion that Illfonic will just balance the game according to the stats they have in terms of player numbers and which faction they’re playing. If they see a significant swing towards playing one particular side which is affecting queue lengths detrimentally, they nerf the side that is overly popular until the balance is restored. Repeat indefinitely.

…All that said, as I am a Pred main, it is obligatory for me to state…

Haha same here bro, I even bought the game when pandemic started, somewhere at the end of the March or early in April, I forgot the exact date.

I also was out of work, for almost 2 months, before I got called back to work and I had nothing else to do but play some games and watch movies and stuff in those 2 months.
The most boring 2 months of my life tbh.

Exactly as I view it. I would like to add that even if predators lose at exfils they usually get a skull or 2 in the process giving some success to the hunt. In a way both sides win something.

Yeah man. I had 5 and half months after that. I am very thankful for this game saved my life.

That’s a long ass time, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I was in your place ( 5+ months ).
I can only thank myself for buying a laptop so I could use it to waste all that free time that I had but didn’t asked for it. xD

Yeah man. Being able to take my frustration out on ft and preds alike was good

I mean that’s one way to bankruptcy

i have never noticed this aim assist

It’s there. I forgot exactly who but someone actually did a video a few months ago demonstrating it. It’s slight and mostly noticeable strafing. Like I said it helps me with AI, not so much with Pred. Results vary obviously though

Just to be clear, Manual aim assist (which is basically you using your controller a certain way) is not the same as AUTO-aim assist which are programmed into games like Assassins Creed.

There was a video of a guy demonstrating that aim assist exists in the game and we were debating it on the forums. Nobody actually got him until he made it clear what he actually was doing. Which was basically telling us how to use the controller. Nothing new there, he was just being ambiguous.
and he kept claiming there was some kind of sticking happening on the targets…head or something which in actuality was just the giant hit box depending on the weapon you use.

I agree almost completely. Definitely should buff Last Man Standing, for better endgame.

Right now, I think the best EASY change would be to simply remove Yautja’s bane, fearless, and down range. I think assault deadly could be an issue, but at least they wouldn’t be able to use field medic.

I’m inclined to agree those perks should just be flat added across the board or eliminated at this point. Rather focus on more strategic “perks”

It’s auto rotation. I wasn’t explaining “how to use a controller.” Auto rotation is actually used in a lot of console games, but usually there is also aim assist in the form of aim friction or sticky aim.

For this game to balance console and PC players sticky aim would be the way to do it. Here is the best explanation I could find online quickly.

Every person in the game has an invisible-rectangular box around them. The reticule of each player will become ‘stuck’ once it has landed inside of this area and slightly follow the box. This is designed to aid in the aiming of a target. But, is not the same as ‘auto-aim’ or ‘aim-assist’ where the reticule automatically targets the nearest box.

The sticky aim function only works once you have actually moved your reticule inside the area of the box. Once ‘there,’ the sticky aim is activated. However, it will not do all the work on its own.

In most games, If you don’t move with it or if you move against it, you cancel the sticky assist. However, if moving with it–it makes it easier to track a moving player while shooting at them.

I’m still convinced this is the existing hit box of each AI, Pred or FT member. It is apparent on either side regardless of using Kb/mouse or controller. It only determines where the dmg area is on a particlar area of the 3d character and is not dependant on controller type. its more dependant on the actual hitbox per character class/ ai type ( and thats hardcoded).

As far a stickyness goes, it all depends on how large that hit box is.

This is the defininition of hitbox:
A hitbox is an invisible shape commonly used in video games for real-time collision detection; it is a type of bounding box . … Hitboxes are used to detect “one-way” collisions such as a character being hit by a punch or a bullet.

but in regards to actual programmed Auto-“anything” that helps you target your enemy, then i’'m really not sure. Thats really up to how its been programmed in the game. But as far as I know, there has been no documented programmed assistance for aiming in PHG. Thats just what i know.
