Friend, I just think Standardized Classes are Much Better.

And Today, if we compare, the 3 Movie Predators are exactly the same as the 3 Customizable ones we have today.

We could have all 3, and have 1 Class 100% Customizable.

We don’t need 3 Customizable Predator Classes.

We need more Exclusive Items for each Class. This is a fact!.

And for Soldiers, it’s the same thing.

Today, we only have 4 Standardized Soldier Classes:

  • “Dutch” '87;
  • “Dutch” 2025;
  • OWLF agent;
  • Dante.

And 4 Customizable Classes:

  • Recognition;
  • Scout;
  • Attack;
  • Support.

We need more Standardized Soldiers. Movie Characters, or New Characters !.

lol I wiped most of Predator 2018 from my mind. Completely forgot about the guy jumping onto a flaming cyborg predator. Joke about knife damage goes here.

Considering in P2 and AvPR casters are really vulnerable to gunfire and damage.
It’s safer in the gauntlet. And all the gauntlets in Predator 2018 were removable.

Ya but your arm could still get shot. It doesn’t make it more resistance it just moves it to a position where it’s still vulnerable.

It’s smaller and retracts completely into the gauntlet rather than poking over the shoulder on a really long hinge thing. Also you can’t shoot over the opposite shoulder with the traditional shoulder canon.

Actual question is how you make this function differently from the plasma pistol ingame. Probably just a reskin. Or make it a long-range plasma pistol with a drastically slower firerate?
I’ve been wanting the blade launcher thing since launch though.

Who’s shooting over their shoulder with a wrist caster?

Ya just make it the aim down sights on wrist blades. Make it deal more damage than a combi throw but spread over two obstacles.

Wider angle.

It’s a lot harder to protect your shoulder from being hit by return fire than your arm that only needs to go up for a second to kill whatever’s infront of you. Gauntlet caster ditches the whole shoulder-case-opening-loading-sequence. If any part of the shoulder cannon takes damage the things dead weight on your shoulder. And no risk of blowing off your head if you don’t turn completely to fire.

Haven’t seen it, post a gif. It’s still an exposed caster vulnerable to return fire once it’s out though. Wolf took two and they both got rattled by some blunt damage and the janky hinges broke if i’m remembering right.

Longer than just waving a hand at the person shooting at you.

They do still have to manuever their whole body and position themselves infront of things or at a shoulder-friendly angle to actually hit them.

Same as the wrist launcher.

Actauly it can fire instantly. Faster than lifting a hand. It just needs to open doesn’t need to set in place.

Plus the wrist launcher still needa to open. Like you said it rests inside the wrist launcher.

Ya but they’re extremely agile it’s not that hard for them.

The chances of hitting the caster while just spraying at a predator’s center mass is way way higher than your chance of dinging the gauntlet.

Same if you get knocked down by an alien and roll over your caster, or a xeno’s on your back, the thing is fucked lol. Whereas it doesn’t have to do all the folding and shrinking and booting up if it just slides in and out the wrist compartment.
Shoulder cannon still has an edge aiming at things overhead and covering the respective flank but wrist caster is less vulnerable to damage in general. They still both have niches.

My Friend, “Remove” is a Strong Word.

I am not wanting them to be removed.

Only that these Classes are filtered.

We don’t need so many classes that are 100% customizable.

We could have:

Base Predator and Base Soldier.
And within this Base, you would choose between Male and Female for predators, and Man or Woman for your soldier.
And then one of the 3 Standard Classes: Support (Berserker), Attack (Hunter) or Scout (Scout).
And customize as you wish.

Simple.

Peircing damage =/= blunt. Bulletproof windows don’t do much good if an elephant steps on the jeep. Preds are like what half a ton? And xenomorphs just slap those things and they’re done.

The exposed hinges and wires on shoulder cannons are like the critical achilles heel of the death star.
