Downsides are a legitimate way to balance.

The kraber can one shot in TF2. But it’s projectile.

In siege Ash is fastz but she’s soft

The basic idea of armor weight in rpg’s is a downside

This isnt supposed to be team deathmatch.

You shouldnt be given a million opportunities.
That’s lame.

But make the pred stronger, raise the over all power level of this game, and you have better fights.

I mentioned this like July last year.

It’s easier to balance that way.

You could argue that not using downsides is objectivly better because it gives better power fantasies but even then that would mean anything balanced around everything being broken so nothing is broken is the best way to balance and that doesn’t mean using downsides is objectivly bad.
