For me Elder Sword is much more difficult to parry. Sickle is slightly easier.
As FT I fucking hate… I FUCKING HATE the elder sword because I always die to it by newbs.
And the animation is just fucking stupid, it looks like the pred is trying to dance
The sickle is reserved for more experienced players and is just as deadly, but pred doesn’t look like an idiot and newbs can’t use it.
I actually like the elder sword on my hunt Valkyrie. Though I only use it on players who dodge my bow multiple times and I just done with that.
For my clash Valkyrie I use the sickle.
I think I’ve only used the sickle and sword one time each. They just don’t seem very “predator-y” to me. So I always end up using the combi for melee instead, even if it’s not as good.

if your running a berserker, I highly recommend you use the alpha sickle, sure it’s tracking is a hair off, but you can take a guy down quicker. Sure the elder sword has a nice combo, but it’s damage isn’t as good. I feel people lately lean in on the berserker’s tankiness, so even as the berserker, you still want to be quick in attacks. Otherwise, that tankiness just becomes trivial.
The samurai sword however is built for hit and run tactics. I only fully engage if there are only 1 or 2 guys on their own. Dealing damage over time is perfect for popping like 4 hits and dashing away.
I use the combi-stick because you have a good combo, decent damage, and you have a large attack radius when swinging. Even when the tracking is off, there is no way for the fireteam to escape. The only draw back is how easy it is to parry it. the viking axe and the club just suck period. The hammer has terrible tracking and swing speed.
actuality sickle swings faster and has a faster-knocking speed than the sword. So the sickle is better, but the sword has better tracking after getting a combo off can do big damage.
I find that if you jump behind and double back you get multiple hits off with the sickle, if you have trouble with people who parrie a lot on the sickle on the second hit jump behind and continue the combo or double back on him.
I find that when using the sickle you get parried a lot more and mostly happens on the last hit of the combo. I find that when double backing on the last hit or jumping over people can knock people still faster than the sword. I still think that the sword is good but the sickle has a faster and has more damage, making it better. Then again it’s not the weapon that makes it good it’s how the user uses it that’s so effective.
Both weapons are kinda meh for a berserk…

zerk itself is meh, probably the worst class to play
I find samurai to be the worst. At least with zerk you where they stand but with samurai, they’re just a mix between hunter and zerk with none of the benefits.
Bloodthirstylord says its one of the best. He’s the best Pred on Youtube so I trust his word.
My honest opinion is the sickle you can two tap and dip out for hit and run and its easier to hit the openings inn-between the the FT knife spam to avoid getting parried or knifed if you wana get sweaty
He said zerk is on the same level as hunter and city hunter. This is just wrong on so many levels.
Well…what do you expect from someone like him. No wonder there’s so many squishy Zerks and Hunters lately, barely any DLC Preds.
