Lol yea Shane was smoking some crazy shit when making that movie. I don’t even consider that movie as part of the Predator franchise/universe bcuz of how corny and bad it was.

Fugitive is a complicated subject, with the Human genetic shit and what not. Regardless, he wasn’t anything special, and if anything, he’s lesser for being caught by Stargazer, the literally worse organization to ever try capturing Predators.
Scarface is an exceptional character. Taller than most Yautja, survived for 100 years in a arid death world with nonthing but a spear and the blades in his gauntlet, and faced an entire neo-metropolis that he created himself through his own actions. Armed with some of the literal best gear the Yautja Race has to offer, Mines that lock down nervous systems, Weapons forged in Plasma.
And you want to say that Fugitive, a Predator with very little screen time and is technically lesser than the other movie preds can beat an Engineer.

Ps engineers were cooler when they were elephant men. The big pastey greek statue men was a terrible boring idea.
An Unarmored Engineer tanked a full blast point blank to the shoulder. Proceeded to snap Ahab’s arm backwards and smash his knee with a boot punt.
I would say the movie has interesting points that could be used, but the lack of direction(Fox and Shane constatly backtracking), plot points and overall execution.
If I could save some things and change others, it would be:
-Liked: Predators having genitically improved units
-Change: Predators don’t go around improving themselfs by collecting DNA, only exploring, hunting, etc
-Liked: Predators has multiple worlds
-Change: They aren’t conquereors, but colonizers
-Throw in a garbage bin: Predator Killer

Like I said, he was hinted to be scientist, and yet he managed to fight against armed soldiers while un-armed and killed multiple soldiers using only a wrist blade, plasma caster and shurriken(no camo).
Plus, he was extremly fast jumping tree to tree, this already proves he has superior mobility and skill when compared to the Engineer in Prometheus, maybe not the same physical prowess, but then again, Predators are known for taking bigger and stronger opponents.

Being a Scientist doesn’t mean much if your physical strength is still enough to smack around 80’s Arnold. Jungle Hunter isn’t too much of a beefcake considering everything later and yet he is still iconic for that. While yea, breaking out of Stargazer’s Facility is cool and all, he shouldn’t have been caught to begin with, even though his mission was to give Humanity a fighting chance against his own kind.
By that line of logic. Jungle Hunter should be able to take on an Engineer and win.
I’m still curious as to how anyone in this movie came to this conclusion aside from reading the changed script, since the opening scene is fugitive skinning bodies.

It was fugitive. There were only 2 preds in this movie lol. mckenna stole the mask and gauntlet with the magic camoflauge pingpong ball that he swallowed before he sent other stuff through the mail to his wife (??).
Is less of physical strenght and more of overall skill, if this guy was infeed a scientist, then combat was secondary in his life, meaning a proficient Predator that trains for warfare could do much more when compared to him.
Assassin could fit in this description, but he was a living hack, so his feats seems less impressive when he is bulletproof. So I considere Wolf the closest of this aspect, and he held himself pretty good against the Predalien.
I heard there was gonna have a sequence showing how they captured him, so if they developted weapons to capture him based on P2, we will never know. Shame they cut it, it would had been better then the kid subplot or the loonies scenes.
I would say he would have a solid chance, his downfall was underestimating his opponent.
