Wouldn't revealing the truth about predators help?

help what? make them leave? They don’t have much to offer anymore anyways other than their ships (nvm isabelle brought us one), we don’t need their throwing sticks.

we have to go out of our way to attract them to earth
They don’t actually care about coming here.

We are a 1 star rated safari

I would imagine that if mankind had more knowledge of their species , wouldn’t that attract them more to earth? The more prepared humans are the bigger the fight?

Generally no. If a race declares war upon the Yautja they tend to just stop visiting their world/s and leave the race alone because whilst Yautja can be incredibly adept at warfare and do have the technology to do so, they find it distasteful and think it upsets the natural balance of species.

They’re actually coming to earth more and more

The issue is what happens when one dies.

The bombs can level city blocks and worse given the AVP Predators. Meaning if you take it down you have to destroy the computer or disarm it else your city or town is just gone.

They also adapt to the hunt so they’ll take notice and send more hunters or better Predators. Part of the reason Assassin was the way he was is because Predators keep dying on Earth. They’ll send much worse. And nothing is really stopping them from just bombing us into submission. These things live to kill shit so a horde of them coming to meet an opposing force is asking for trouble. Just one is a problem, imagine a squad or even twenty.

In AVP 2010 they blew up the Marlow because it happened to be there. I’d totally buy them just bombing a planet given in the same game the nuke they set off was visible from orbit.

They’re actually really big on environmental conservation & preserving species. It’s why their Honor Code forbids them from hunting pregnant females and when they need to hunt for food they’re supposed to track down & eat animals which are weaker & less likely to breed with other members of their species. They’d never engage in something like say Glassing a Planet since it would break their code and also prevent future hunts.

They made a point about causing mass conflict to draw them in because we weren’t getting any action lol.
Stargazer OWLF whatever get defunded if a strong wind blows in their direction.

They don’t reveal the truth because its so rare and forced that no one would know its happening anyway

Most of the time they don’t even arm it

They just die

And that’s if they’re in a city

They’ll get more trophies not better trophies

So no more additional predators

No more dangerous predators

That relies on preds actively dying

According to the tapes they’re coming more and more because they’re more of a threat

Or according to the book I don’t remember

It was odd that in concrete jungle the gauntlet goes off but the pred survived

In Concrete Jungle Scarface detonated his ship, not his gauntlet. That was a part of the reason the clan was mad at him given that he blew up the hunting ground, dropped a ton of his stuff, revealed himself so openly, and couldn’t even blow himself up like everyone else. That’s the reason he’s sent back with youngblood gear and is viewed so poorly by them. He essentially was sent back to clean up his mess and learn how to be a proper hunter all over again.

His falling into the building and essentially being covered in debris is what helped save his life since he was a fair ways away from his ship and the blast couldn’t hit him since he was under the debris like Dutch was with the log.

Its been that long since I played it , never realised it was his ship

As much as I love Scarface pred he really was a colossal cocky dumbfuck. The fact that he wasn’t killed on the spot is almost baffling, like what do they consider a capital offense at that point.

I think instead of his gauntlet he used his ship

Yep, he blew up his ship that was beneath the city.

It’s all part of what makes Scarface such a beloved character. Sure he’s akin to Broly in his Rule of Cool factor but he also has one of the best character arcs and development for any Yautja in the franchises.

His is a story of a cocky & content elite who felt so secure in their position as unbeatable that the moment they take even the slightest wound to their ego they throw a fit and try to wipe the whole board clean. But then he lives through the attempt and the shame is maintained upon his shoulders. Forced into exile, made to survive 100 years alone on a hostile and foreign world, brought back and treated as no better than a CHILD in his own society, he’s forced to right his wrongs, restore his Honor and credibility as a Hunter and clean up the mess he has only himself to blame for entirely upon his own. He crawls out of that pit of shame & keeps climbing a metaphorical mountain to restore his name and even surpass his past deeds & fame. All whilst clearly, entirely through body language and vocal mimicry alone, we see his reactions and feelings on the dystopic cyberpunk world his failure has created. We see him react to it all with content, confusion and anger at himself ultimately for what he has made, and Scarface truly grows and betters himself. He restores his Honor, rights his wrongs, returns his Clan’s name to its rightful place, and in the end ultimately makes the hellhole he had created a better place by dismantling its tyrannical power structure & wiping the vast majority of organized crime out of the city. In the end he leaves his mark on the city, literally; toppled its Corporate Regime, wiped out a Hive of Xenos that could’ve potentially threatened the Earth entirely because Humans are dumb, eliminated the vast majority of crime in the city, retrieved or destroyed his people’s stolen technology & bodies and most importantly to him cleared his own name and regained his position in his Clan with a renewed and healthier (by Yautja standards) mindset.

It’s an utterly fantastic character arc showing off the key points of redemption and personal growth and it does it all with a character you have to relate to entirely through body language & lines stolen from others and used creatively in the right scenario. It’s honestly one of Concrete Jungle’s biggest strengths and something I’m surprised you don’t see more people talking about despite the game being near universally loved by fans and Scarface being in the Top 5 most beloved Yautja in the whole franchise.
