You know how you make The Predator In this game the most op it can possibly be ? Hahaha

Every single game in history that featured a strong predator based gameplay experience. Had both. Auto and manual.

Except predator hunting grounds.

It is what it is. But in reality the plasma cannon was usually always a one hit kill… Like wtf illfonic.

It was one hit on launch

And it was super op lol

I want wolfs double plasma canons or wolf himself

Well I mean It wasn’t one hit for like just one shot at launch. But It was though for a fully charged shot. But that made the gun overload instantly. But its the preds most powerful weapon so its supposed to be OP in my opinion.

No it was definitely op. You just charge it looking away so they don’t even see the laser then look down at them and one tap. Super op, then do it again and they are dead. Also it did indeed not, Insta overcharge it. It was certainly OP lol

I don’t think lock on can work what with all the cover and the fact that the plasma bolt itself isn’t capable of tracking

It was a year ago haha not surprised but regardless the gun itself is a one hit kill weapon for the predator in the movies and pretty much every game in general. Shame hunting grounds made it basically not anything close to that. And like If its super OP good hahaha its supposed to be.

I mean it’s the predators best weapon by far still lol. There’s nothing weak about it

No locking on. That would take most of the skill away from playing predator.

What could be implemented is a new predator perk:

Overcharge
Allows for additional charge of plasma caster for increased damage.

  • cost, 8
  • fill charge damage increased by 1.5
  • full charge consumption increased by x2
  • full charge time increased by x2

This would bring back the one shot kills, while still being balanced, because of the high perk cost and negative effects.

I think lock on works, both caster and smart disc disc. You’re reducing the damage to less than wrist blades though to balance it. Sole purpose is to poke FT. Can only lock on if you’ve infrared tagged them

Every weapon the pred has is basically a one hit kill weapon if you want to apply real world logic to it. For balance reasons it can’t be too powerful without some sort of drawback otherwise there’d be no fun at all for both sides.

95% of preds would still run berserkers with combistick and die in 2 secs. Plasma is already very good, but dumbasses prefer to jump in with combi and die!

I still really don’t like the idea of lock on…

but I would really like to have the option to throw the disk in a strait line, while being able to move around and have it auto return after it runs out of fuel or pick it up if it sticks into something, like the combistick.

Eh, I mean yeah in the confines of the game it might be a little much but if it’s the lowest possible damage allowed i think it balances. It’s only fair if it’s a pin prick.

Maybe another 8 point perk.

Smart Lock

  • cost 8
  • enables plasma caster lock after 2 seconds of ADS
  • thermal vision consumption x3 while in ADS

That’s another cool route. Make the energy drain so heavy it can’t be used more than once or twice before over load as a way to balance out the damage. I like that.

Introduce a different caster or vision mode with lock-on. Tiny splash radius with higher damage to compensate since the projectile is smaller and unlikely to hit anyone strafing far, no charge, uses more energy. Player has to be tagged for lock-on, so it’s countered by mud.
