Full plate is very mobile (medieval armor). That said the ones they have on leaves a LOT of gaps open. At least if they had no armor where the joints are but makes no sense since we found ways around that back in the medieval times.
Brutes nuked themselves into the stone age twice. If anything they’ve got more in common with Elites. And elites were 100% inspired by Predator to begin with.

Armor’s heavy and they still want to be able to climb stuff. They’ve got scales. Temperature regulation, if it aint broke dont fix it etc. Probably a number of reasons. They already live thousands of years and have to go on thrillseeking murder sprees to begin with, im sure they’re not too terribly concerned. Just throw armor over the vital parts and call it a day.

Look at real human hunters, they do use “advanced” tech. How many use bows? :)
If its thrill-seeking why not go with only wrist blades? Why use any of the advanced technology they have?
I can keep going and address the weapons they use. For instance a knife is far better then wrist blades because it limits your range of movement, you can’t swap hands and more.
Shoulder cannon… You need to expose a good deal of your body to shoot it AND you can’t aim it in certain ways because you have to move your entire body. Pistols, far better.
The weapons that really work for preds are those modeled after real life counterparts since those are tested in real combat. Spear, sword, club, pistol.
It makes no sense and the only reason that I see its that its based on a movie some time back and they looked “cool” like that. Suspension of disbelief needed I guess and its fine but still…

I really was like… done for with the movie, i wanted to go get a refund cause i skipped my study time for exam back then just to watch the one and only new pred movie… i was literally hyped and damn… it was all fine until the kid actually helped humans even more to weaponise humanity and end up screwing up even more… in reality the kid should have kept it for himself, wait till he got older than found other people … maybe even dutch son or daughter could have been shown later on in future after the 2018 movie… anyways the movie could have gone so much more in depth rather it rushed the whole thing… like my man decodes a language to is much more than a dead language and looks like one… Like sure just hire him to go study dead languages then, that would be more realistic to learn tha an alien language…
