The debates kind of up in the air as to whether either the work they wanted wasn’t up to standard thus obseleted by the new team (Star Marine cough cough) or whether it was easier to just scrap everything illfonic had already done and work with a new in-house Crytek team since they were going already planning on overhauling the game engine. Either way it wasn’t worth contract renewal with Illfonic.

Whatever it was it was worth being reworked entirely though.

What’s interesting is that the major portion of those bugs that have to be addressed , not sure how to best put it into words, are very " typical and fixable" if you , like myself (and I assume the dev team) , got years of exp with EU4 coding / scripting. Yes I mean it , its literally nothing special going on there , literally , found myself thinking “could fix some of those myself np”. Raises a question why is that nothing has been done about anything for the whole mounth.

Go apply, they’re hiring :D

Honestly don’t feel like they have a lot of experience with UE4 otherwise the game wouldn’t be running at 20 fps with these awful AI on its exclusive publisher platform but maybe i’m wrong lol. Feels like they’ve got an environmental designer and someone rigging player models and pred animations and the rest is janky. Basically just an art team.

Fireteam still feels unfinished as hell imagine if they actually had animations when interacting with things that aren’t mud.
They are actively trying to improve and keep content coming, regardless of how rushed launch was so I do respect that even if we don’t get the details.

I just hope that the project isn’t done with blueprints lol , we can all just forget about quick patching altogether :D It is hard to believe in that tho , but if that’s the case … oh my
