First off I am a pred main and while the caster is the best play rn I dont resort to that unless I have to. I spawn in, find out where they spawned according to my spawn, set traps depending on of I found out the mission they’re on and play an ambushing melee type. That gives me my first kill, I don’t have to resort to ranged spamming, it’s more engaging to fireteam and overall more fun.

I use combi and net gun, combi as a melee and a strong throwable for party spammers and net gun for the same reason or to just buy me time when I get caught in a fight I don’t want to be in. Caster spam is not the end all way to play the game, it’s just the easiest.

Good luck with that outside of hotmicing ps4 pubs considering devs have stated melee isn’t an intended playstyle.

So you basically say that you are skilless and need to have ur prey stand still to get kills. If you use bear traps and netgun you are the lowest on the totem pole of preds skill wise.

Or just don’t want to spend the majority of the game using ranged. Using ranged weapons as pred is boring. Neither side requires too much skill if you’re basing it on their weapon choices. I’d argue being a melee build requires more skill as it’s not just about aiming and running away.

A trap build requires game knowledge and a fair amount of predictions. Ontop of that they’re not defenseless in a bear trap as they can still do everything but move. If you catch one in a trap they’re most likely all in that area which still would make it more difficult to melee them rather than just spam caster at them while they’re trapped. I’ve had many preds in the past get a bear trap and just down them with caster or bow, both of which they can do safely and from a much further range than melee.

If you’re worried about skill I’d argue that melee has a far higher skill ceiling than range based weaponry ever will.

Intended or not it’s still more fun in my opinion. Rushing in and getting a pick or setting an ambush is a much more fun alternative than just sitting in a tree with a bow/caster

Lol u are dumb. Range play takes way more skill than melee play ever will. Its not hard or take any type of skill to click 2 buttons and jump around. Meanwhile the Bow takes alot of skill to use and both casters aswell. The melee in this game is so skillless a chimp could do it and still win 3 out of 5 engagements

Try not to insult people you’re having a discussion with. You have your opinions and I have mine. I’ve refuted my opinion and you yours. If ranged takes skill than any fireteam player is more skillful than pred given that they all fire ranged weaponry and use ranged items such a grenades.

Cause as soon as a decent predator wins a match salty FT players will downvote them even if they didn’t exploit any game mechanics.

Which movie was it where the Predator was bouncing around like Tigger shooting off random bow shots, never still as though every time his feet touched the ground it was so painful he literally has to ricochet about the AO??

That’s right, there wasn’t one.

Predator was either stalking, slowly taking his time to eliminate the enemy one by one or he was up close and personal putting in work. Combining intelligent ranged attacks with deadly melee assaults.

How can a Predator game be so far away from what makes the Predator PREDATOR…
