Alpha Predator Stupid decision?
It’s a separate Predator. It’s also one that as a person who pre-ordered suggested everybody else get if they didn’t have Jungle Hunter to compensate. It looks close enough and the exclusivity was only for JH, not the armor design. A lot of Predators reuse this armor but I’m completely fine with other players getting an alternative.
If it was Classic from Predators then there’d be a problem because he just isn’t visually distinct outside the damaged helmet. But it’s Greyback and so it doesn’t matter.

And how are they not the same without the necklace and the few pieces of cloth and the predlock details? (excluding the stats)

We don’t know that, it might be an exclusive with NECA purchase only. Not everything in the game will be offered to everybody. This is purely speculation, but based on how this is being executed, I think it will remain tied to the figure purchase.
As I learned about the first release of the weekend Beta version of Predator just one before the beta closed it was the last day on Sunday. And I learned it by chance from youtube from one customer and a friend, I could only try the game for one day. If I had known about it before, I would have played it from the very beginning. And as for the Alpha character, if it was a variant for a PC and it would be possible to send it to in Europe by mail package and with the activation of some kind of license or code for the PC, so ok I would give $ 50 a problem it wouldn’t be a problem.
I understand it’s marketing and profit business. And that more money will be paid for early access. But they should do it for all platforms and not just for PS4 owners. PS4 Pro version. I would no longer buy this console just to play this game. That’s enough for me to have 2x Xbox One S and Xbox One X at home. And why should I buy a PS4 for that? I don’t have space for that in my apartment or too much money, it would be expensive

Question: The minigun is a shitty weapon in its current state and only effective up close. Why would you try to do a claim with another FT member close to the downed one? Tip: use the downed player as bait. If a minigun is not able to melt you up close I don’t what would be…🤔

Lastly the Alpha Predator isn’t exclusive to the NECA figure they are doing a deal with for the initial launch for the NECA figure and Alpha code its been said illFonic are going to release the Alpha for $6.99 in a few months but right now its basically Early Access to those who got the Figure.
At the end of the day its just business and that’s how it goes.
Ever heard of Microsoft and Xbox Series X because there is no association to Sony and it doesn’t have Predator Hunting. Just saying since Illfonic will probably keep doing what their doing and you won’t buy anything from Sony for the last time.
For the last damn time people, it has been confirmed on the P:HG Twitter feed and via news article what the Alpha Pred DLC will look like. For those too lazy to read the explanations in this thread or do research, let me break it down for you. The NEKA figure is limited production for the US only, and will come with the DLC code. If you opt not to buy the damn toy, you will still be able to purchase the DLC for 6.99 on the PlayStation and Epic game store later this summer. Please for the love of all that is good and crunchy…

As I said in the comment… If you don’t know that the guy with the minigun is there, you’re screwed. I have used this method myself as FT. A guy ran for the objective and when he was downed and the Pred did a quick claim I killed him with the minigun.
But when they’re hiding in a corner fully mudded up it’s difficult to spot them 100% of the time.

Most of that information I was already privy to, but the speculation on the Dutch price-point was one that most would think could be for other characters like the Alpha Predator.
But even the author of that article doesn’t know, it’s a guess — just like what everyone here is doing.
So, my guess is that in June when the figure releases, the second wave of Alpha Predator codes will be used from the NECA Figures (the first wave was from the lucky few that won codes from @IllFonic during their Twitter contest) and then in the coming months it might be released as a monthly Paid DLC item.
We know it’s not June because of the Samurai Predator, so either July or August since the article mentioned summertime. I would lean towards July as a prediction, for it would give @IllFonic another month of lead-time on releasing a more significant update in August with either new game modes or maps.
