Much as I’d like to upgrade, I can’t afford to spend $1000+ on a PS5. Be nice if it was $500 for the disc version like it was on release but scalpers made that impossible. Doubling the price is the incorrect way to deal with scalpers but y’know, Sony is starting to act like Microsoft, and that’s funny too because I have NEVER had any problems with any of my Microsoft products except for one time my account was locked on my Xbone. I contacted customer support and got it fixed in under an hour. My 360 never had any issues and it went through a lot of shit. I’ve had to replace the hard drive on my PS4 three fucking times! And I’ve had to get a replacement PS4 since my first ps4 took a shit out of nowhere. And I’ve had this Xbone since launch with zero problems. I’ve also gone through 4 Dualshock 4’s but have had, once again, the launch Xbone controller since then with no problems.

Definitely a ps4 thing. Not saying that makes it ok but it’s fine for me and my friends on ps5 apart from a few areas on the last campaign where it slows to around 30 ish maybe lower. It needs more optimisation though because it should be smooth 100% of the time on a ps5.
The dude in that video is a well known bulls**t artist. Measuring exhaust is a ridiculous way to test cooling. It’ll be fine. Sony have months of data now, from real world console use. They aren’t gonna revise the design to a point where it overheats. Everyone seems to ignore the part where the review said it actually seems slightly quieter.
Retail prices are the same unless it’s some businesses trying to exploit people. The sony rrp is the same. Sony can’t control prices on ebay.
There was a big update yesterday and it runs far better on the ps4 pro , more timely fix than a certain developer .
I know when the ps5 first hit the market , the online game trading sites were offering something close to £650 cash to trade them in and selling for £700+
Yeah absolutely but I’m just saying that’s not the fault of the manufacturer. People were willing to pay it which is the real problem.
So the update improved performance? That’s cool. A week after launch the devs are doing OK so far. Let’s see how it is after another couple updates. Either way I’m having fun with it.
Yeah , I know its not Sony really , but I do think the whole “limited” stock is a great sales tactic 😄 . Everybody wants what they are told they might not get .
I’m not really fussed if I ever have one as I barely game anymore and I got my kid one , so that suits me .
