As far as I’m concerned, the assassin predator (upgrade predator) doesn’t exist and should be collectively forgotten by the predator fan base. We need another movie to retcon that garbage.

The game could do it too, they just need a good enough explanation.
Personally I’d go with cybernetics, as it’s easier to imagine that being the armour under his skin, then it spontaneously growing at unrealistic speeds.
His size isn’t even that big an issue if you include cybernetics, they just conducted an experiment on a group of volunteer Yautja. Involving growth hormones, joint augmentation and armour that is sub dermal.
His clan could also be from a Planet with high gravity close to the surface but significantly more atmosphere than earth and a biome that is miles from the surface. Then the size could be explained by habitat and environment. Have children far from the surface, where it’s safe but move lower and lower as you get older, living under higher and higher atmospheric pressure and gravity.
Since we’re not likely to visit any such planet, a display with his skeleton could be shown during a mission.
(How else is Dutch going to get his cyber-arm?)

I like the concept behind both of them. It didnt HAVE to be a terrible pred vs pred movie.
I get the idea of roided up cyber predators, the earth invasion thing is extremely dumb but the game might be sticking with it. Spinal fluid hunters is also extremely dumb, if they lean more towards cybernetic enhancements rather than “lol human dna i become what I already killed because thats smart” it’d be fine. Just make the giant assassin-sized ones predator super soldiers not genestealers then it wouldn’t leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. Predators make no sense thematically as genestealers.

I can get stoned and enjoy it for mindless action and laugh at the rest.
Predator intellectual scientists is still a problem for me. I definitely can’t see predator Tony Stark designing a predator iron man suit. Tribal space farers that weren’t spontaneously uplifted by another spacefaring race always feels off. Used to the brute types being either a slave race or the slavers themselves, bullying another species into building them things.

Could have the assassin pred AI controlled and have cinematic fights with it throughout the map pushing it off. Deal x amount of damage to send it packing back into the woods? If you Don’t work with your team, or appropriately hide from it, “it takes a member into the woods”.
Maybe it could even kill a yautja that pissed it off with a caster shot in the back?
Think it would be crazy scary having something jumping in on and around the thick brush!
AI solders could be nerfed a ton with having the outstanding threats.
That would be really cool, too.
I think it would be a shame for such iconic characters controlled by AI…colonial marines flashback…!!!

You hop on in a machine and it does the surgery for you… doesn’t have to be something the Pred’s invented. It could have a cost like sterilization or shortened life span.
Not about the AI but I just want to see players do this to eachother xd
Pred just shows up to kill the other pred while he’s low hp then fucks off.
The salt potential for optional pvp would be huge. It’s like when people were toying with the idea of 2 killers per match before dbd said they werent doing more gamemodes

If I was to guess (not use expanded universe lore), I’d think the Pred’s are only capable of spacefaring because of the Amengi. Without the genetic interference they might never have been spacefaring.
They have the technology base to construct anything they desire because the Amengi had that level of technology. Predator culture while having all the advantages of technology is still in a hunter gatherer state.
I don’t think they see a need to move past it because of the relative size of the galaxy and their ability to simple pick up a spaceship or have one constructed for them.
A home, a ship, weapons, trophies, family… what else is of value, nothing really except a few rules, don’t lose the technology that allows this, don’t hunt you’re own kind. Just a handful of truisms to guide them and stolen (liberated) technology to get there.

I can’t say I’m a fan of them enslaving anyone, I do imagine there are still Amengi prisoners. They might even be allowing them enough food/space/personnel security to have children and a society. Either to not commit genocide or to ritually punish them for the crimes of their ancestors.

I mean you sound confused. It was a flop of a film that was critically and commercially panned. I’ve met like 3 people who like it and they were all from this forum.

I just except that it’s part of the canon and while I doubt OKH is passing on any of the ways I think it could be fixed, it’s fun to try.
