Just curious, do you have a recording of that bug?
Like does your sound goes crazy for the next 30ish sec or you lose your sound completely?
No recordings since I really don’t record much and other people have shown videos of the exact problem before.
Essentially all or most of the audio cuts out as soon as you load in. You can tell really early, for example as FT when the chopper is flying in the music will be gone, Zeus won’t speak, and you may hear the chopper blades whirring. For pred it’s nearly identical except when you start off all your movements and roars are silent in the intro.
Soon as you land you hear that ominous queue when the mission starts and then silence. From there it’s basically all silent except for scattered gunshots from the AI that cut in and out, random pig squeals, pred tech usage, and the occasional foot step.
All these sounds sound as if they’re happening right behind you even if they’re completely across the map.
Throughout all of this there’s what seems like a very low humming that makes it feel as your ears are underwater.
The sound may come back randomly if you’re lucky or stay the whole match. It doesn’t matter if I have a headset on or the audio comes from my tv speakers. It predominantly occurs mainly in every map especially backwater and excavation but overgrowth and derailed and even then it can still happen on those.
@Fire can verify it as he’s seen it happen to me before during SharePlay.

That’s weird, I never had that bug, but I had a similar one, where, let’s say there’s a gunfire shooting sound, from me, AI’s etc.
All of the sudden (when the bug occurs) those sounds get enhanced (volume through the roof) and bugged, kinda distorted and they stay that way for 30ish seconds and I can’t hear anything else except that.
After those 30ish seconds the bug sound fades away and other sounds come back normally.
This bug happens on random and not very often, I don’t know what triggers it but in my case, it’s game related. I had the same bug on four different sound cards and two different PC’s.
My friends who play PHG on PC’s had the same exact bug multiple times.
I’ve gotten that once or twice before but that’s it, the other is nearly half of all my matches.

@Kassinaillia, any update on this bug? It’s gotten to the point that nearly all games I load in to are completely silent. It’s making the game unplayable.
i literally spoke to OKH the day of the patch because i still occasionally deal with this bug and he said it was my headphones so no
albeit it did have to do with my USB adapter that i use for my headphones for some reason as when i plug headphones directly into the controller i don’t get the issue so it was a strange interaction
I played two matches earlier without a headset and both were completely silent so I don’t believe it has to do with that especially since it’s only during rounds and not in any of the menus.
