It sounds like we will. If bet they have a years worth of DLC in mind (4 more at least). We got all of most all from movies.

There been a lot of this, but maybe some basics that would help potato growth in this game.

Pred:
Reduced melee damage to FT if more than two are in close range of each other; buff long range weapons such as bow and pistol and PC to incentivise learning to aim better. Increase melee damage if FTs stray (only if more than 2 remain - to help with Reinforcement).

FT:
more damage to clocked Pred to encourage better tracking and aim. More melee damage to pred if other FTs are in close proximity (reduce preds reliance on melee)

Should not effect premades too much as they already play mid-long range game and would return bow/combi throw and PC damage to higher values.

The funny thing is the last patch has done the exact opposite of all of this. Melee damage is buffed across the board for Predator. Their Armor System is working now so they’re taking less Ballistic Damage. Some Predators take even less damage whilst Cloaked. The Bow & Combistick Throw have had their damage reduced by 50% due to FT’s Armor.

I also thought that pred should get a speed boost when uncloaked as FT can see him and these more urgency to his actions. When cloaked it’s like he’s sneaking.

Personally, and I’ve held this belief for close to 2 years now, Predator needs more mobility options in general. I am firmly of the stance that they need to do the following as a bare minimum start for overhauling.

Triple the Length of the Slide that Predator has so that it carries you further & maintains momentum better. You should be allowed to quick fire Plasmacaster shots whilst Sliding. With the Addition of Feral’s Shield, should be allowed to choose to use that whilst sliding as well to block incoming fire.

Give a Dodge Roll whilst grounded that’d take from Stamina of course. If you use it in the air either from falling or after a jump, it should translate into an Air Dash. Scout should be able to chain 3 Air Dashes, Hunter should be able to do 2 Air Dashes, and Zerk would allowed 1 Air Dash. Every other Class would follow their lead & allocate Air Dashes based on which archetype they fall in to.

A double jump also needs to be added to allow for Predator to correct course when using the regular Jump or reach over a ledge or tree branch that can fuck them over in the heat of the moment. I’d say they could share resources with the Air Dash so if you DJ, it eats a Dash charge.

There also needs to be a Stomp move added onto the Leap that would allow you cancel it at any point & land directly beneath your current location. Think a Slam without the AOE or Blinding effect & without fucking over you Energy.

Pred also really needs its own Parry system, though to separate it from Fireteam I’d say it should act more like a Timed Block that would build a metre you could then spend to release the built up energy & deal anywhere from 25-100 points of Damage based on how many successful Guards you do. So say ya perfectly guard against a FT knife two times in a row, that builds you one block of metre. You can spend said block to deal 25 points of damage with an unparryable palm strike. More guards, means more metre stored, means bigger pay off.

Ft armor to arrow and combi melee was increased to 50% but it wasnt 0 before, so its not a 50% reduction

I could get behind these movement options, but I’d spread them among the preds. No more than two for each pred, whatever would make more sense for each class, just so they feel different.

Or maybe each can have 3 but you can only take two into battle.

I’m not really a fan of making options like that class specific. Which is why I’d suggest you balance them around how much each Class can use each one. Let Scout do 3 Air Dashes in a row or a Double Jump & 2 Air Dashes, but give them the smallest Parry window so you can’t build let’s call it the “Revenge Gauge” as easily on them. Meanwhile Zerk could only do 1 Air Dash or a Double Jump but their Parry window would be much larger so they could more easily build the gauge from blocking FT’s knives. Everybody has access to the same options, but how well they can use each option depends on their Archetype.

I suppose it acceptable. There are enough preds to vary these among.

At this point, id be happy if they introduced one or two, as a step in right direction.

There’s a million more things that actually need to be changed or added to get anywhere with fixing the game but these are all things that I believe is needed to make Predator actually super fun to move around as & not be run down like an injured deer.

I sadly don’t expect a damn thing but yeah like you I’d be happy to get even one of these.

True, I wouldn’t hope for all of it. But one or two would be nice to change things up. Something for long range and something for melee

Adjusting Slide is something they more then are capable of doing at any time so if any of these, at least try and make that change.

If I were to guess which would come out first, it be these two since it would make the most sense due to either Lore / Time wise or based on Data Leaks.

Already got Feral from my checklist, only 3 more boxes to go now.

I agree. It’s a more natural movement mechanic within confines of this reality. Jumping options seem too anime like, but slide can be justified.

Theses already a mini slide, so just extend it. B
