I think you should suggest other modes then.

Balancing it the way you want doesn’t include those weaker players, which is where most players start. Spend your energy helping the devs figure out a competitive mode. We need one and the tournament players are the Pred-made’s that need it most.

I do get your position, but I also care about game health and there are some glaring issues with modifications to Hunt to balance at that level of play.

standing still long claim. Basically any weapon will second wind the pred in that state. It isn’t unbalanced, just a dumb move by the pred. I’ve second winded Preds with the pump action when they go crazy melee on me. Not even have to parry. Stupid gameplay is punishable by death.

This is so important, most of pred OTP complain because they jusy suck, if illfonic make the predator that op to beat even high skilled players premade then the game will lose 99% of fr players base because in pubs against random it will be beyond broken.

One of the dumbest posts i’ve seen so far. “Melting a Predator in 2 seconds”? While video shows a Predator who most likely has been damaged by the Fireteam player it just claimed, then standing still, taking 2 grenade explosions together with the Vector. This is the same thing as claiming that the Glock one shots a Predator if you’re the one who makes the final hit.

Had to jump off this convo since it it was definitely going to the gutter the first few when I posted it. Turns out the “cool down” law applies to forum chats, who knew.

Two grenades while could have chopped off 25% of the predator hitpoints, you only notice the the blood appearing after they fire. Check out this clip, you can see on 7:01 Bloodthirsty only turns green/bloodied when he reaches <50% health, so that predator had to have had over 50% remaining to be cleaned off by the vector.

Gotta agree with you there, balancing is trash, and OTP applies to FT as well, but can’t be helped sometimes. I think DBD is a good-ish reference point to how it probably should go? Can’t say to be honest, just know some mates who enjoy it.

Butting into a old convo, some obvious stuff like destructible beat traps sounds like it should definitely be a thing. Glad to see someone see it better than I can describe it, it really is suppose to be a 1v4, not a 1v1 (unless we get a gamemode for that).

Also with that melee talk, I hope they don’t nerf it anymore, or at least not without some explanation to why, it’s a combat mechanic and should definitely stay as such.

F$%k me yikes. Assault sure, it has kickback, but smgs’ have nearly none, and at least I wasn’t off with the ZH/Vector, honestly if you can spit out your mag in ~2 seconds for 75% (or less), that really just means you need to aim for 2s. That ain’t hard for 1 player.

Vector is definitely a beautiful weapon and has such a awesome name, so I don’t blame you for loving it xD

it does do the Pred dirty, making it a 1v1, so I think that suggestion for the bullet resistance isn’t a bad suggestion, but until illfonic fix balancing, this game is a salt mine.

I get what you mean by this if you’re talking about the xp system, I know there’s people that oppose it with a passion but its a valid point and really one of the few effective ways to keep one team from wiping the other. You don’t see DBD matches ending in 3 mins even though it takes 30s to take a survivor out of the game if the killer wanted to. They solved the wipe problem with wins being based on xp not mandatory kills.

Good lord, Ft don’t need anymore nerfs. Bad pred players cause nerfs. Might as well start to nerf overall dmg to pred and health then, you know for balance then.

I will say this, guy was playing Recon not Assault from what it looks like, he could’ve had Yautja’s bane, he was using Vector which has high dps, he threw 2 grenades beforehand and the pred may of been slightly damaged beforehand, it was doing a long claim as well.

Moral of the story, long claim pred got shred.
His fault for long claiming, Yautja’s bane does make it possible, every shot hit, except for the ones when he was running. At least it’s not MW2 Vector lol, then there would be 0 Preds.

I get what you’re saying, but check this out.

From what I understand this, this is without Yautja’s bane, close range (essentially a pred melee distance), for ~2s and still chews 70% - 75%.

Note: This is a Berserker without Bullet resistance. All other classes should be considered shorter TTK, and with only a increase if bullet ressitance is added.
