Bear traps

I mean, if you can’t hear a trap being thrown, and you can’t jump away or avoid it, feel that’s on you.

Traps leave pred Uber vulnerable and its like the disc. High risk, high reward.

The fact traps are still springing after being destroyed, is a lag thing.

Pred doesn’t need anymore nerfs…

Just need a good squad.

Not a lag thing but if that makes you feel better, whatever. And no one said anything about not hearing a trap being thrown - if you actually read the post, it was about how it is bugged.

They complained about standing still in the field where a trap is thrown, they didn’t move, but it still traps said FT member.

I disagree that if you don’t move, it shouldn’t trap you.

I’m confused where anywhere mentions it’s bugged?

If a pred throws a trap right on you and you choose not to move, you should be trapped? Right? Or are we trying to penalize Predators accuracy and timing with gear?

I was referring to my post, not the OP. If a Pred throws a trap and it misses you, but you destroy it immediately, it still traps you…no matter what. That is a bug/exploit.

If you read, I saw the Pred through the wall, I was standing still at a doorway, waiting for it to come to me, it was up against a wall where the doorway was, the Pred through the bear trap and it automatically trapped me, I wasn’t even moving. What I’m trying to get at here, is to make it where it doesn’t trap you automatically but you have to move around if a scenario like this would occur again. As I said, if you’re standing still before the trap is thrown, it shouldn’t automatically trap you.

“Standing in a doorway”. You could have your front against the wall, you’re still getting trapped.

The traps have a radius and don’t need to be thrown inside of anywhere to activate.

I’m failing to see why we need to nerf predator further.

What bending said above (traps going off even when broke) is an issue, being at the wrong place, at the wrong time… still sounds like it is what it is… broken traps are broken traps.

My question to you is:

Why should Predators not be rewarded for throwing well placed and timed traps?

Not well placed or timed, just dirty. Sure if someone is running and you throw a trap in the direction of them running and it traps them, then that is well placed and well timed. Just throwing them at entrances is just being placed, there’s no timing needed for that and it doesn’t take a genius to do either. I think your ideas of well timed and well placed are different from that of mine.

I’m not saying that things have to be nerfed, they just have to be fixed for their correct intentions. But also think this, would you wait in a 50 minute queue to play as a Predator because it got major buffs and Fireteam get major nerfs, of course not, most of the player base wouldn’t even be playing if every Pred main got the buffs and nerfs they asked for.

There will always be arguments with mains screeching about every problem or buff they want, each sides gotta take an L and a W, now and then.

Ok guys this may come as a surprise to some of you but there is a perk that can easily counter traps, audio decoys, and motion sensors.

Here is the build I use for those known trapper preds.

By the way, this is the ideal ultimate FT…in the hands of skilled players, this team is unstoppable. ☝🏽

Make bear traps indestructible again!!!

Or at least make it so that using the trapper perk makes bear traps indestructible.

Hmm maybe if F.T Stop camping, Preds wouldn’t have to resort to traps being throw at F.T 🤔
