As FT yes. Just have to compare How few good pred players have in comparison to FTs.
Well , first of all I won’t ever say anyone is bad , I think we can all agree there is already enough ugliness that I don’t need to add to it .

I would say as both, at least in pubs
The skill gap is immense in pubs. Is either people playing like headless chickens or people who know what they are doing.
And almost everyone who’s an elite player at one is just as good at the other.
I can only think of a few people that I won’t be able to beat when they are playing FT with 3 potatoes, that won’t beat me when I’m playing FT and they are playing Pred.
I’m the potato , I struggle to practice fireteam cuz I prefer pred .
This should put the nail in the coffin for this thread

This is why I gave up on this game, everyone is a “top shit player”. I’ve been playing here and there lately with a few friends and it’s so brain dead to be good. I encourage anyone on here who thinks he’s good to go play a pvp with bullet drop and travel and come back and show us how “top tier” they are.
Play the game, have fun, and stfu about best this, best that…

Or just play as Pred and use projectile weapons.
Nobody in this game is good with the bow at long distances, you gotta have the ft literally 5 meters in front of you to land arrows. Yea sure people land lucky shots here and there but its not consistent to where anyone can say “I’m a good shooter with bow”.
Playing as pred is about strategy, not about reflexes or accuracy.
…and playing as ft is just brain dead.
or play as FT and use projectile weapon. NRV sniper, Plasma assault rifle prototype, grenade launcher, and rocket launcher. Most fun weapons in the game for FT.

About the only two weapons as ft with actual travel but no drop.
How can you say nobody? Some people can do great shots with the bow, you can’t hit every single shot, even with sawz people miss, of course with something like the bow you can miss a lot sometimes. The shots gets more consistent the more you practice. The further away the more you have to time the travel of the arrow to the ft, besides the crosshair and ping can also affect the shots. You need good reflexes to react fast as Predator due to how fast paced this game is. Strategy, reflexes, accuracy, positioning, decision making, experience, all that matters as pred.

The ft has hit scan weapons, what time do you have to react to that? There is no beam on the scopes either lol
You said yourself you won’t play competitive fps games. So until you actually have played and gotten good at one you won’t know what good is. Just like you guys think playing pred takes skill. Go implement those skills in an actual pvp fps and you’ll finally open up your eyes.
As soon you start getting hit the fast you react to that to move away and change positions the better. You can’t dodge hitscan bullets, but the faster you move the harder you can make for the ft to hit those shots. Main problem with a lot of predator player is exactly how they take too long to start moving when they start getting shot, which results in all their hp gone in a few seconds.
I don’t mind playing competitive fps games if I like one, needs to be the type of game I enjoy. Like other shooters I like playing are Halo and Gears of War, they are I think considered competitive, they have a ranked mode, but I don’t really play thinking about that, they do have both hitscan and projectile weapons.
Plasma spamming takes zero skill, disc you can actually maneuver it (I wish incould maneuver my bullets i wouldn’t miss a shot) and with bow you won’t hit a moving target at 100 meters consistently.
Plasma spamming at close range is not even a good strategy, just something preds do so secure wins in 1v1 or 1v2 situations, otherwise you will be outdamaged by the fireteam. Splash dmg sometimes is not enough, direct hits with plasma shots are necessary, you need to aim for that. The charged plasma shots from far require good timing and positioning to be able to get direct hits. Plasma takes more skill than hitscan.
Disk will depend on how high the sensitivity is, depending on it, its not that simple to maneuver, specially depending on the environment the fireteam is at, can get stuck easily in objects around, you need to move while dodging things and thinking about the position the disk will be on the time the flight will stop to make it come back closer to you and not in a place where the fireteam can easily destroy.
Its rare to get in situations on matches where you will be trying to hit fts that far with bow, most people don’t get to practice enough on it, without practice they won’t get good into doing that consistently. And the fact the depending on the distance the crosshair can get really off doesn’t help much.
