Not on this game as FT I dont think, which is what the discussion is about, I can name other multiplayer games that I played which I think ping can affect the player but its not the case that Im mentioning.

…and I already explained why as FT the high ping doesn’t seem to affect your performance as much.
On the Predator side it is twice or thrice as brutal, because of the arrows, combi stick, and plasma travel delay.
So think of if as pred with zero ping = fireteam with 300ms ping, which is still playable (while still missing a few arrow shots and combi throws), but playing pred with 200ms ping would be something like playing Fireteam with 500ms or more ping, completely unplayable.
But at the end of the day high ping is just terrible.

Okay I agree with the comparison, I once played fireteam with 450 ping and yes at that high of a number I was lagging and was starting the affect my game, but only at that high of a ping. 300s something as ft is fine for me, pred until up to 50 is mostly okay for me.
That’s half a second behind an opponent whit zero ping which will just not be a good experience. Now, imagine if FT had bullet travel and bullet drop, nobody would play this game.

Going back to topic (kind of)
I have 2700 hrs in the game, I play as FT almost all nights from 9pm till 12 pm (central Europe time), I’ve played with every known PC player from all over the world many times and…
I’ve never met ONCE these “top tier” ps4 preds, exept for WeebiKiwi and Someknowmeasxeno , who asked to play privates.
I don’t think it’s beacause of time zones… I mean , if they are so experienced, math tells me I would have met them at least once.
The only logical conclusion is that they play always crossplay off… but then I wonder why the top 5 preds in the game on a certain platform are so afraid of playing vs pc guys (even randoms).

You have to take into account that the ping you see is not really your ping. You have to add like 20-50 above it. So 280ms ping on your screen is really over 300
Anything above 200 for me hurts badly, and over 300 is almost unplayable. It even make fps drop like shit. It has nothing to do with skill when you shoot fucking AI and you see them drop dead half a second later and still do damage when you already “killed them”. Same happens with pred. High ping is bad for everyone.
That’s why I said high ping means shit when we don’t have dedicated servers for private matches and everyone has shit ping except for the host.

I’ve played against both and none felt “top tier” while other european friends felt they were. And those other european friends also felt that some of the people I have mentioned, like drugstor, didn’t felt they were that good.
When there are ping discrepancies, players on both sides aren’t gonna be playing at their strongest

I always play with crossplay on aswell. I’ve gotten into games against Elite Hunter, Blade master, mass impact etc. Killed em all in GGs
Honestly we should play together again Mojo, I’ve been training with Sam, Gesp & Thunder almost exclusively whenever I did do Privates. Haven’t fought you and your team in damn near a year.
