He is far from being the best player, but heās 100 times better than most console preds

when did I ever said that? I have not but praised those players on console who are up for the challenge and outperform me and others on PC.
Just because I say most console players here are a bunch of potatoes doesnāt mean I think that of each and one of them. Right of the bat I can mention at least 10 players who are just as good, if not better, than a lot of the PC players on ādeath squadsā
I mean to be fair console has a lot more players than PC, so theoretically BTL could be better than most console preds, that still wouldnāt be saying much considering statistically there are more of the less experienced players on console as the playerbase is larger.
When I played I played cross play on, and tbh there are potatoās on all sides. Just given that the ps4 playerbase is bigger youāre more likely to run into potatoās as there are a larger number.

Thereās a lot of PC potatoes out there. More often than not on steam. But if you guys refuse to play with crossplay on because PC players in general outperform you, you guys are below average.

Cherry-picking arenāt we. Or maybe I didnāt clarify it enough. Iāll use heavily reduced numbers to explain the idea easier.
Letās say out of pc players, 1/10 players are good.
And then apply that ratio to the ps4 players as well, but there are 2 times as many ps4 players than pc. The ratio still remains 1/10 with this.
(This ignores some minor variables such as mid tier ps players turning crossplay off once they continually have poor experiences with pc, people running parties, etc, but the larger the scale is the more these discrepancies average out as they are relatively minor)
So take your pool of players, and have them play.
All groups combined
- Skilled: 2 ps4, 1 pc, 3 total
- Potato: 18 ps4, 9 pc, 27 total
Vs if it was just pc - Skilled: 1
- Potato: 9
So here we can see the skilled pc player if they were playing among themselves would have a higher chance of playing other skilled players.
However when adding this extra pool, it becomes significantly more likely for the skilled pc to play with potatos, as the potato pool has increased numerically, but the ratio of skilled to unskilled stays the same.
This can create the impression that all ps players are potatoās as you are experiencing more ps potatoās even if the ratio of skilled to unskilled stays the same. This is a double edged sword, as when a ps player plays with pc the reverse happens.
So I just explained statistically how these stereotypes of platform are created.
