When a human hunter hunts big game, he doesn’t use a stealth bomber.
Same principle: Preds are obviously a high tech race, but they use more restrained weapons for the ‘sport’.
Heard that before, biggest bullshit of an excuse out there. Makes as much sense as the predator as a race, you need to do better. If they use advanced computers, bombs to take out city blocks, plasma weapons, remote control disks and a whole lot more to fight the stupid humans… Then you give me that excuse… Yeah! Makes no sense. Almost every weapon the predators have are stupid as all hell. Take the plasma gun alone, he is an alien that relies on stealth and yet he uses a plasma weapon that shoots huge bolts of energy and gives his position away with a laser pointer. A simple gun with a silencer is far more logical and useful to them but as I said before, one of the dumbest make believe races out there.
Yeah… I think you may be taking this fictional space hunter character a little too seriously and literally.

That is quite funny seeing how many predator fans are around here, people who make figurines, masks and other stuff. Collect figurines… Hell, I’ve seen someone having a voice changer to sound like a predator.
Then again some people don’t like thinking, you just look at the pretty explosions when you watch a movie? I can turn my brain off to some degree but it does not mean I can’t see the obvious. The predators are badly done as a race.
Well, you can take your approach and apply it to just about all the fantastical sci-fi and superhero fiction. I mean lightsabers are ridiculous, and the Marvel/DC universes are full of stupidity.
If you want hard realism then like I said, this game isn’t for you. It certainly sounds like you don’t actually like the Pred character so not sure why you’re wasting your time playing a game that heavily features him?
Of course you can find things to point in other franchises but predators seriously take the cake, from armor (more stupid then during the medieval times on Earth) to weapons and finally to culture. As another example the klingon bat’leth is designed very, very badly.
Oh and I am playing this game because I like this type of games, not because I like predators. I play only FT anyway. I am not playing for the lore.
PS. The first comment with the bow was more meant as a joke since gameplay=/=realism, we need things balanced.
Its a shame the devs continue to drop the ball, and its a shame the amount of chances we as a community are giving them…
I don’t half ass my job, this should go with any job. These clowns say they care but it seems like its just a paycheck for them. Idk
I just find their inability to make this game function on the most basic level disheartening. I’ve never seen such incompetence for such a long time from a development team. It just keeps getting worse.

Thing is predators where very happy when the devs made the cloak as good as it is. This lead to casuals getting owned in games very badly and since they can’t take the cloak change back (from what I can see) they did the worse thing they could and just umped the damage again, this did nothing for the casuals but made premade even more broken.
What can you expect when we have bugs in this game since launch (the same ones) and the worst designed AI system I’ve seen in a long time.
