Buff the Minigun

This was actually the worst nerf, it takes less time to go find a new match than to wait for a reinforcement that will likely never happen either cause the Pred kills them or they evac without bothering.

As more players get used to just quitting out, it will get worse. Yeah Pred’s will win easy against lobbies that slowly shrink and you won’t have to worry about the team coming back but you’re wait time is going to increase, then the FT will start getting buffs while under manned. The game will suffer, but keep thinking it was a good idea.

Minigun def needs a buff, I made a post about same topic awhile back with the following suggestions:

Perhaps a slight damage increase also.

Quitting is a problem of the nature of the game, easy level cap , no ranked no punishment , no statistics nothing. Queue is long because you can lock the queue , thing that in my opinion is not good for this game.

Prime example of people making the game worse, nothing needs a nerf or buff use what you are good with not just “oh it’s a big gun so it should be this!” Net=anything made us less XD Also the minigun makes you an easy target for bow practice and I need more practice.

I originally was very against the idea but after going back and using it a few more times, it is worthless and does need a buff. I’ll find video of use but I’ve had instances where I started firing just outside of melee range. The Predator turned, closed, meleed and downed me as a support. That’s not right…that is a useless weapon.

Only like half of FT weapons are useful at all. You ever see anyone other than a new player use the first pistol? Get where you’re coming from but still, some FT weapons could use some love to make them viable options

All of this would be welcome. But the dmg is fine. I heightened sensitivity on my controller and kicked ASS against melee preds with minigun builds. But the mobility/range issues make it a crap option for range predators and especially hopper builds.

Reduce the cone on it when it fires the spray is so unnecessary it hits nothing with 50 bullets maybe buff the damage but first fix how it fires in real life those guns arent that inaccurate

This entirely. It’s not even that inaccurate in the movies. It’s actually one of the more dangerous human weapons we have vs Yautja in the franchise tbh.

Except for the grenade “pistol” which can definitely be deadly in the right hands

The trick isn’t having a god weapon, there are 4 people in a fireteam so obviously you are meant to combine your firepower therein amplifying your fighting capabilities. Either way minigun users will only make themselves easy targets buffed or not.

I’m not saying it should be a god weapon at all. That would ruin the game completely. I’m not even saying buff it big. Just a little more pop though to make it not a death sentence to use it.

Just using it is a death sentence unless you have a close knit fireteam, it slows you down making you an easy target for bow users, and even more so a death sentence if a predator uses a net you would honestly be better off with the lmg.

I know that. My point and argument are to change that.

Edit: WITHOUT obviously making it OP.

Ah I gotcha, gonna be a tight rope act.

How is making common sense game balancing changes going to make the game worse? The NetGun is fine the way it is. But the Minigun is a beast and should be a weapon worth using.

The Minigun is more a liability than an asset. There’s no reason the SAW aka the RP-103, a 5.56 belt-fed LMG should outperform the Minigun — a weapon that has a higher ROF and uses a larger bullet, 7.62 NATO rounds.

The Minigun should have a buff.

The SAW was known for both accuracy and stopping power thats the beauty of lmgs and why they over a minigun are more reliable it also is not as heavy, as such like I said: buff The minigun I’ll still make it useless. The minigun can be a formidable weapon but it requires a tactical, competent squad.

Basically common sense: you can buff it if you like but you are still going to meet predators that negate its usefulness therein making the buff itself useless. I’m also just burnt out on hearing the same thing on both sides: this is op, this needs a buff, this needs a debuff etc etc it just gets old there are better changes to be made.

Then stop debating buffs and nerfs. Some are worthy of change, while others aren’t because their balance is fine. I think you might need to edit you post above because it doesn’t make sense.

You’re also talking to a military veteran that’s familiar with firearms and a 5.56 nato round doesn’t hit harder than a 7.62 nato round. Have you actually fired either of these weapons IRL? I have and I’m telling you the Minigun needs a buff.

The Minigun is a more powerful weapon and that isn’t reflected in the game.

You are trying to make a video game based on fiction (not realistic) realistic that in of itself is just making it sound like whining. Just like they aren’t likely to make the game true to the movies (if they did you really wouldn’t like this game anymore) you can be your veteran self and that’s fine but also know when to realize: it’s just a game not every little thing is going to be realistic to your specifications or mine or Bobby joes and that’s fine.

(another tidbit: the horrendous bugs need to be fixed foremost at this point in time is the biggest point to be made, and as stated most posts that claim needs nerfed or buffed in my eyes just aren’t reaching the most important thing that needs to be worked on in the game, that’s just trying to pacify people and frankly that’s been worked on enough time to start actually working on the more important matters for a month or two)

Working on balancing issues doesn’t detract from other endeavors @IllFonic is working on.

It’s fine that in your opinion the Minigun is not something worth tackling, but to others — myself included, it is something worth addressing; hence, the threads asking for a buff/rebalance @OldKingHamlet .

At this point, they just need to scratch the whole game and start again🤣
