Edit : after looking into this subject, supposedly, games like Fortnite are using some sort of algorithm to attempt to detect unnatural controller inputs, and are giving one warning then banning accounts after a second violation.

Valorant does the same but these are all on a case by case basis. More or less have to do a whole investigation. People are able to cheat at tournaments even.

Games are still going to “see” a controller plugged in. On top of that, you get aim assist + you can rock anti recoil script, turbo function for shooting, macros etc using Cronus

In terms of detecting it i’d assume it means it checks for weird patterns, turbo just mashes at the speed of light it would be pretty obvious. Recoil scripts are detectible if your crosshair is compensating the same amount of pixels each time

A mouse imitating controller inputs moves pretty strangely on a linear x & y axis compared to a stick, and unless you have some kind of pressure pads or gyro for your WASD it can’t replicate a soft walking input.
Controllers all have graded inputs basically, so it should be pretty discernable compared to wallhacking.

I’ve never understood how they let this happen. Like, do they just let people bring in their own computers, and, if not, why wouldn’t all the ports be blocked or whatever. It wouldn’t matter to me, but those people are actually competing for money.

technically using prescription and illicit drugs such as adderall, ritalin, cocaine, alcohol, xanax and weed is considered cheating because they can boost your “normal” performance…

Then again, some people may actually need them because of a medical condition, which may or may have not be diagnosed (specially in the USA where people don’t go to the doctor as often as they should).

I know in pool tournaments alcohol is banned because it gives you a more “steady hand”

Those " cheats" are available to everyone. And I know more than half adults playing on console are always high.

Some games i have felt a benefit when playing from adderall but the biggest was when I was smoking weed and would play fighting games , it was like slow motion and you were untouchable at times

I think that’s because as a slight neurological depressant, in small amounts it means you stop overthinking things and act more on instinct, which would often times mean you’re playing a little better, at the cost of a slightly decreased reaction time.
