My only argument is we almost only see young inexperienced or cocky predators. If we saw wolf or greyback on previous hunts they wouldn’t be beat by a human especially 1v1 but against marvel or other universes like Star Wars there’d get absolutely demolished.

I agree with this, and technically when you think about it, Wolf never got hurt by 1 human. All his injuries were sustained by Xenomorphs or the Predalien.

I reckon that, in a world where predators did in fact exist, their reputation as prolificly skilled and powerful hunters is due more to the fear factor of ‘crab-faced alien with lasers’ than any actual hunting ability.

Well that’s not entirely true, sure the fear factor is apart of it. However Comic Book Predators / Yautja’s absolutely destroy anything in their path, not to mention their constantly being held back by the honor code and never really break out the “big guns” unless war arrives.
It’s sad we never get to see their skill or overwhelming strength and force in movies, but games and the comics perfectly show those things off. (Though some of the comics aren’t a good example).

Kind of reminds me how in Star Wars we don’t really see how powerful some characters are in the films we only get to see in the animated shows or comics which most people don’t even see

Right?! I think the closest (in Star Wars case) we ever got to see a strong or lore accurate Jedi was in the Obi-Wan show when he and Vader had their final fight. That was only a glimps of their power but really showed why they had to follow certain rules and code.
