All you have to do to get 20% more damage for a few seconds is sprint… No Duelist… Just run. Run a Hammerhead, run whatever. That’s a shitload of damage. Apply Leader. Boom, 35% percent. Oh shit, he’s running Yautja’s Bane too? Boom, 45%. Oh shit, he’s running Duelist? Boom, 65% and then some because it’s multiplicative. You’re doing near double damage with Scout Duelist alone, run the Grimtech and you’ve basically got a semi-auto rifle in your hands.

Case and point, running Scout means you get 20% more damage for playing the game

Yeah but that’s not how the elite play. Its unnecessary, its too much set up for results you can get just as easily with any other damage based class because in the end, FT doesn’t even NEED these damage buffs to kill you in seconds. The reason Recon Tracker & Field Medic are for all intents & purposes “banned” is because both options provide FT with overwhelming pressure. Field Medic makes downs impossible to capitalize upon unless you can buzzsaw with the Smart Disk. Recon with Tracker makes it so that for 11 seconds the Predator cannot hide at all, not even behind Cover. They’ll just be rushed down and forced onto the back foot over & over & over because these crackshots have a wallhack that lasts 11 straight seconds and can be immediately re-applied, and if they’re running Spotter with it you also take a 10% movement speed penalty, which just makes it easier for the rest of the team to catch up to you.

There’s very valid reasons that Field Medic & Recon Tracker are the most frowned upon loadouts.

Hell, even Support by itself just isn’t really “allowed” when it comes to the 10%. Because Support’s 20% defence buff to the rest of the team just gives Premade too much health that even THE meta of Stalker has a hard time cutting through.

But your entire point was that Scout Duelist isn’t meta. And now it’s too powerful for the PC elites to run? Which is it? Is it not meta or is it THE meta?

I never said any of that 2nd half. In fact the PC elite ran Scout Duelist often, because its not seen as much of a threat and only really punishes those who get in close. Which those who play with them, DON’T do. So its just used for memes.

Go ahead ask them, ask Sam. He’ll tell you what I’m telling you. All I’m saying is actually just me quoting stuff he’s told me over the past year. The elites don’t run Recon Tracker, they don’t run Support. They don’t run Dante. And they most certainly do not run Field Medic unless you try to use any of these loadouts upon them when they’re Predator. Because all of those options are just way too much for even them to handle in a fight with a proper Premade. Scout Duelist isn’t. Its not needed, they don’t really run damage buffs anyways because they don’t need them, but Scout Duelist has never been looked down upon as a crutch.

I have a question about that as I’ve been running Scout Duelist for a bit. How does the post-sprint damage work exactly? Does it stay permanent after the first sprint? Or does it go away and you have to continuously do sprint/stop to get the boost?

I don’t have crossplay on because as much as I like Sam and enjoy watching him and his team shred through random for an hour, I’m really not inclined to run into him and his team and get embarrassed on live stream in front of the whole community.

It probably is, but you have to be accurate to really maximize the gains, so it’s not as bad as Field Medic or Support’s Damage Reduction Aura.

Certain builds I won’t even use , I just don’t think it’s gonna make me learn to be better if I depend on an op build whether in pred side or fireteam
