Seems like an ilfonic game on consoles. Needs major optimisation. On base consoles it runs worse than PHG which is horrifying. This is unacceptable after 8 years, yes 8 years of build up. Until they fix the horrendous performance on consoles and the ridiculous bugs like t-pose npcs GTA has nothing to worry about. Even PS5 and series X donāt run it much better than last gen consoles.
This explains why all reviewers were forced to review the PC version as itās broken on console and clearly rushed out last minute in time for Christmas.
It doesnāt really feel like GTA, the gameplay is more like fallout if I had to compare it to something

Its more like a fallout game on a different engine. most choices donāt really matter so far, story is linear. Lifepaths are optional dialogue flair. Just what ive noticed reloading saves. Best rpg is still divinity 2

It still baffles me rdr2 looks good on base ps4 without the lighting, foliage, footprints, and deadeye trails crashing the game constantly. Rockstar has very talented optimization wizards
I donāt get why people always complain about repetitiveness in series like those.
A good formula doesnāt need to change.
Gta is all about the story and over the top shit.
Pokemon Is about beating the region champ and stopping team rocket or whatever.
Better to have a good formula then try and change it and destroy it. Like soooooo many other games now a days.

I was never excited or looking forward to it but I was hoping it was going to be a good game.
Oh well.
Iām having a blast so far. It plays a lot like a FPS but all the character choices and build diversity of an RPG. Iāve never enjoyed RPG combat, so swapping that out was a good move in my books.
Havenāt gotten far enough to start playing with Cybernetics and weapon modding but both systems look extensive.
Iāve been moving very slow looking at everything and making choices I normally wouldnāt just to see if itās fun that way, it has been so far. The life paths are kinda set in stone, on rail affairs and I would have enjoyed having the same level of detail in your history as your appearance. I went corpo for my first play through and while itās a good story, it wasnāt necessarily what I wanted. Thought it would let you start with more detailed cyber kit or spending options.
I havenāt tried any of the more adult things you can do but the character builder gives you more options then any game Iāve ever played. My second or third character is gonna be wildly different from my first based on these options alone. I will say at some point all the ears and jaws start to look strangely the same.

Your friend should probably learn to manage his expectations. Sure, they cut features, but itās still a lot of fun
Divinity is awesome, have you tried baldurās gate 3? Itās like baldurās gate + divinity, still in early access though

It looks ok though.
Just not worth 60 bucks.
Iām not horny enough to be fascinated by customizing genetalia.
That said I still wanna play it.
