(This was originally a reply i posted, BUT i think it deserves its own tread and careful consideration)

Right, Pred is EXTREMELY Broken…,

This always happens in games that let you “Kill the Killer”…
in a proper Asymmetric Game the killer needs to be an unrelenting oppressor that scares the humans and moves the game forward. But in this game and ‘Last Year’ most players chose to stand their ground and fight rather than run for the exit…

‘Last year’ at least has a respawn system that lets the killer remain some level of a threat until the mission is completed, But This game rewards the FT for killing the killer by removing the tension of having to complete the mission within the allotted time AND gives them bonus rewards in the post game…

I think the “Big Fix” this game needs, is to make killing the pred something thats a lot more difficult. Like you have to miss Evac in order for the pred to become permanently killable…

It worked in Friday the 13th because killing Jason was a pretty complicated thing that could be muffed up if Tommy Jarvis or all the female characters were removed from the board.

Now i’m not suggesting the Pred be impenetrable, BUT i am suggesting “infinite second winds” without being finishabable. So that way when you blast the pred into second wind and force him/her to go heal someplace, it would be to give Fireteam time to lick their wounds, regroup, and focus on the mission.

Once fireteam finishes the mission, they get the option to board the chopper and escape OR Stay and Fight. If Fireteam chooses to “Stay and fight” rather than run, then the Pred becomes killable as normal.

This would bot only make the Pred a Persistent threat, But also ”separate the Men from the Boys.” so to speak. because now they’ve chosen to roll the dice and gamble their “Mission complete” rewards for a fatter “Secure the body bounty.” Pay out…

I agree with the Predator being too easy to kill during second wind, and in the early levels of Predator players.
The Combistick Beserker combo needs a Nerf, and all the other weapons and classes need a buff.
The Predator should be able to leap away during second wind, and maybe get a speed boost of some kind.
His noises should be reduced even more to the point where if you were within 3 meters, then you could hear him.
The Predator is honestly not that scary if everyone sticks together. The only class that actually puts in work is the class that’s meant to be close up, because all the long range weapons are way to unforgiving even when you land a hit, only exception being the Plasmacaster but even then it’s still not reliable.
The only melee weapon worth using is the Combistick. Not even sure why the other weapons are there.

As to your last paragraph, I feel like instead of the “Stay and Fight” proposal idea, I simply feel there should be another mission to complete or the option to shoot down the helicopter forcing the Fireteam to find another way out.
Killing the Predator should be a rare occurrence

The big reasons why I’ve suggested such a HUGE change, is because i’m board and frustrated with the game already…

The game is boring as FireTeam.
I’m level 56(natural 56. I haven’t used my double EXP yet), and i’ve killed the predator so often, it doesn’t even excite me anymore…

Playing fireteam is just do missions until Pred shows up. Spot spam Pred, Focus fire until Pred is Second Wind, then chase and finish it off.
Its the same boring formula over and over and over again every game…

And playing Pred… Jesus, pred is too UP, and the Predcore is so broken. Its just a frustrating mess to play…

What i sugested is what the game needs. Be Pred NEEDS to be a persistent threat, and the Fireteam NEEDS a reason to bother with the missions instead of just hunting the Pred…

Thats a great suggestion too…
the game just needs more.

i agree , the Predator is just no fun with this current build. The match timer is set at 15min , but a game can be over in less than five. Mainly because people are hunting the hunter , not the other way around. I feel that the FT mains have figured out that all you need to kill the Predator is to have more than one Scout or Recon class in a FT and they can just spot spam us , get us to second wind , and then just bring out their knifes for the speed boost and run the predator down.

A lot of players are sticking to the ’ get good ’ statement when it comes to this subject. But tbh that attitude is neither helpful or needed. The only way to see real change is to talk about it openly with the people here.

So thanks to the first few comments on this post for not being part of the ’ get good ’ group.

I agree 100% with this idea of killing the Predator only available after the evac is dropped. He is the movie monster here not a victim as they are now. Fix this game and make it more like Friday the 13th with the almost unstoppable monster!
