I only want to watch the country explode. Progressives will collectively pop if Trump wins, conservatives will riot if Kamala wins. We’re fucked no matter what, might as well watch the fireworks and chill.

I’d like to see things get better. Don’t look like it will. 😿
this I believe is due. All empires fall after around 200 years
trust me, in a civil war, you ain’t gonna chill. You are gonna end up fighting your friends and family
Everybody trusts the gov much more than they say they do just because they can sleep well most of the nights.
I think they both do give a sheet, but things are still the way they are because there is no ideal solution to many problems. Most folks in democratic countries go into politics to try and change things for the better, but soon they realise that they can only do so much and eventually get with the program because they can easily be replaced.
Oh I know. I have friends on both sides. It’s gonna suck if it happens. And I agree, it’s about time for one.
I’d say the last president that cared about the people wasn’t JFK but LBJ, he did a lot of good to bring people out of poverty and end racial discrimination, but those were things that were acceptable to the corporate interests that were wanting to get the government to spend money on military equipment to fight in Vietnam, and the quotes from recordings of him with advisors show he didn’t want to fight in Vietnam but basically had to in order to enact the domestic policy he wanted to implement, so millions died American, Vietnamese, and Laotian.
At least LBJ was a funny guy though, had a massive 11 inch dick he called “jumbo” and would invite anyone who disagreed with him in congress over to hot tub naked with him and whip it around. Had a special shower installed in the White House with 6 nozzles that could put out over 200 pounds of pressure. If someone on his cabinet wasn’t doing what he wanted, he’d have calm polite conversations with them and ask them to tell them about their family and stuff while he was taking stinky shits. And he had a giant glass made for him to drink 64 ounce gin and tonics out of while he drove around drunk on his ranch in Texas and told the Secret Service they could fuck off if they wanted to stop him from drunk driving on his own property.
I don’t know about US, never tried to get a visa/green card there but people told me it’s super hard to get one.
But I can say that for EU, it is hard to get one, even if you have all the required paperwork and the company guarantees for you and so on, it takes one idiot to have a bad day at the office and rejected your application just because he/she can.
It’s that r3tarded over here.
Actually it started under Reagan (Thatcher on the European side). Since then it spread out across the globe. Corporations don’t rule America, they rule the world.
It’s the countries. The USA only grants visas for their citizens to go to other countries. Pretty easy, tbh, they don’t really care if you wanna travel the world or move somewhere else.
But other countries (even neighbor Canada) give their citizens a really hard time because they don’t want to lose a valuable citizen to another country. Basically, the more educated you are, the less likely they will want to grant you a permanent visa to go to the US, because there’s a very high chance you will never comeback home
So corporations rule the world. But how do they get politicians to pass policy that benefits them? Of course there are bribes and lobbyists and that will get you a bill to be passed for tax breaks or favourable trade tariffs or access to markets or whatnot. But then theyd have to be working together or there would be thousands of these favors in fed gov (and maybe there are, its not like we know, but it sounds like it could be messy). But corporations also compete, so why would they work together? Also, maybe they don’t have to go through feds. Maybe they can lobby at state or city govs and enact local changes. It’s more work, but still gets the job done.
