Did alien fans actually like that ? I was always more into pred than alien, if I’m honest I always thought the original alien wasn’t that good . Aliens was always the best one in my eyes
No, The average Alien fan hates Prometheus and Covenant.
But I’m one of the few people that enjoyed it and the religious symbolisms he was going for.

As a die hard alien fan no. We did not like that, and the proof is in the pudding bruh. They stopped ridleys trilogy after that film. So anyone who enjoys it is in the minority

Resurrection I enjoyed as a kid , alien 3 actually grew on me a bit , as its own thing and you pretend aliens didn’t happen . Let’s be real , nobody pretends alien 2 doesn’t exist 😆
They literally asked Ridley Scott about the mural and he said he’s not sure and he was just trying to put familiar faces on screen. So no. Lol.
The unfortunate fact of the matter is Scott wasn’t totally sure what he wanted to do when he started that “trilogy” he was making it up as he went along
Tv show is next. Its like people forget Prometheus is one of the highest grossing films in the franchise.
Scott is definitely an ideas guy with no one around to tell him no though and the films suffer for it

Alien and aliens are by far the best, and probably only good installment of the aliens films. Aliens is a perfect sequel in the sense it uses the material from the original, but makes an entirely unique film to its predecessor while still remaining loyal to the franchise. I also liked Prometheus despite its massive plot holes, silly dialogue, and overall confused story that not even the writer totally understood

I too tried to tell people Predators wasn’t bad but apparently its a rehash now we have The Predator 2018

I remember seeing the mural and going holy shit! They made the goo from alien genetics that’s so cool! Then kept watching the film and going. Uh wait. Ok I guess? Then seeing covenant and was like welp they fucked that story line up hahah

Predators is cool. I like predators lol. It’s just not good. It’s fun.
The difference is aliens not only has the plot, which predators has for sure, the storyline is entirely there.
But aliens also has the script, the pacing, the action, everything else that goes into making a great film.
Predators is a far cry from aliens. The pacing is wack. The predators don’t feel threatening. The dialogue is laughable. The action feels empty. Like you’re watching stuff happen but none of it holds any real weight in the story. Things like that.
Again that being said, amazing idea. If they’d have taken there time and kept revising the script till it was perfect, or as close as you can get to perfect. I think we’d of had another legendary predator movie
