Yes the balance can only be worked around randoms.

This is why I think clash is good teacher mode. It gives the the newbies a chance to learn tactics against the pred. Also gives them a chance to master the art of the parry since there is no real punishment for dieing other than a couple of points. It shows them that the pred is not immune to bullets. Its a good teaching mode

This is the real balancing act. With a tight FT you’re not going to get separation. Plus if you’ve got a smart FT, they can move the engagement zone to where you lose your advantage as pred. The only way to fix this i think is to up pred damage. Do that and we’re back to the see saw act of balancing damage output.

Here’s a link to an optional rule I think might help or at least make some players happy.

More complex for sure, like instead of one imteraction they can be multiple interactions. But they have to remove that full invis because shooting with plasma is kinda deadly now because you cant punish the Predator. So if you make missions more " active" you have to male Predator more punishable. Plasma is around 132 damage per shot.

You dont have to make it easier to punish the predator just cause of that.

My counter argument is that even tho you’re completely invis after 50 meters, theres plenty of ways to hide and avoid taking those hits.

A lot of ppl seem to prefer new cloak, so I guess its fine for now.

As for the better missions, it’s just to make ft more fun as a whole.
You gotta admit it’s pretty boring atm.

It’s boring but it wasnt boring as the current once since you could fight with the Predator more frequently. The fight with the Predator will always be the most fun thing as fireteam. Missions will never replace that. Missions of course should be better than the current onces. But the cloak full invis while invis at 45 made the game super boring.

The missions should be just as fun.

While I like killing preds, using guns and generic fps is a fkn lame way to do it.
Unless your with ppl it’s pretty fkn boring too.

Either way i think conclusion is, increase distance upto 70 meters no more or less, make it shimmerable and blurry when he is moving rather fast and leaping too…

And when he stands still he stays the same invis as he is…

Above 70 meters if he is planning to shoot you guys, you will able to notice his shimmer too but not as noticeable as at 70 meters… you will see a very short shimmer even if he is jumping and stuff…

So to end it.

Scopes should stay at what they are now.
Better textures are needed for pred’s cloak
Shimmer animation needs to be added for pred’s new cloak textures
Shimmer transitions once pred goes full cloak and is outside of players proper visibility.

Let me try something.

Missions should be funny for sure. They will never make missions as funny as fighting (not hunting) the pred. So even if it’s a classic fps , the fact that you are fighting an alien with different guns makes all the things different.

I think that cloak makes the game harder for randoms and doesn’t help the high level player that much, if not for making the pred less skill based and more un fun for ft side. That is why I think a damage nerf for.ft could help more compared to a full noob invis at 45 or even at 70.

Idk this games a pain in the ass to balance anyway lol.

I already said that missions need more of interactive gameplay touch than just being there close by in proximity, there has to be short sequences where its sort of dead by daylight ish where u have to time it right and if not ur mission falls behind and is slower to be completed…

But that is just one step or idea…

There has to be a long sequence too, there have to be two fireteam members doing it at the same time if they want to complete it…

But for that u dont have to blame the cloak.

Director of the game himself said they always meant for predator to be fast pace instead of slow pace… so i doubt we will ever see something like that as in longer missions.

If you make the missions activatable with 2 fireteam members, then the Predator will be much stronger. We have to consider that a Pred shooting with plasma now is deadly. 132 damage, big splash radius, fast projectile speed. With the new full invis now you cant punish him when he peek from the high ground. I think that if you want to make the game more balance possibile you should change things that are too strong for low level and high level. For low level cloak full invis is too strong, for high level damage is too high. I think the balance suggestions I made some week ago before the patch were perfect.
