Hrm. Itās a bit different. Ghostbusters cannot be permadowned, but self revive takes a looong time. Ghosts also have revives after being trapped, but part of the game is the Ghostbusters hunting down the revive points and the ghosts being able to hide them in other objects in the map. Thereās a lot more trickery, and dominance as Ghost comes from trolling the Ghostbusters as opposed to ROFLstomping the Fireteam.

Canāt say, Iām not a designer or Live ops, and I never ROFLstomp as Pred. But 2 minute Fireteam wipes seem like a good way to show off. In Ghostbusters, thereās a bit more like possessing a soda machine, and following a Ghostbusters but hiding in plain sight before they turn around, so theyāre confused and canāt figure out their PKE meter. Then disabling their proton pack and then downing them.

on the Ghostbusters marketing campaignā¦
you need to ask those who actually grew up with the franchise. So far i saw 1 trailer and 1 gameplay thingā¦its a WIP no doubt.
But to actually get grownup kids on board the Illfonic team needs to establish a few things
- narrative (whats the story)
- Janine (or however you spell it) she needs to be a something of a real character in the trailer speaking to you (the player)!
- we need to see who youāre playing as and if you got all the actors on board, you need to show them their mentality if there is one. Each character had a strong connection to the audience. You need to show this at itās very core!
- the spookies and they canāt be cartoons all the time. there needs to be slimers/ ghostly beastly hell hounds, amongst other things like the stay poof marshmellow manā¦ here needs to be a balance between realism and cartoons. because you cant sell this to the CGI generation without a realistic shitmy pants thing.
Do all that and iām sold. do less than that and Iām skeptical.
Sorry OKHā¦this is the truth from a generation who grew up with the franchise along with Inspector Gadget, My Pet Monster, the Rascals, Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers, C.O.P.s ,TMNTā¦etc.
Honestlyā¦the new TMNT had me at an 6 hour binge of just Watching the live streams on STEAM when Shredders Revenger was launched. OK? Even if i didnnāt buy it that today, they had me watching! And that goes a long way. I was part of the generation who bought trading cards because games werenāt available. Youāre going to sell it CORRECTLY or INCORRECTLY, either way, you have a new generation of ppl who have disposable income AND TIME(for which some have not)!, and the choice you make on getting their attention plays a very scientific role as to what you can take home in terms of business intelligence. Donāt just sell people bubblegum and think they should be able to find out stuff.

Some of these shows I use to watch because I woke about about an hour before going to school. So that means you have at least an hours worth of Trailer time to showcase on PS youtube/blog or what have you!
I was impressed by the other Ghostbusters game (because of its visuals)ā¦but i did not play it. You need to remarket this game as if that game didnāt exist!
Another note:
My demographic has about 20 percent of people who look 20 years older than they should be (meaning they will die 20 years earlier than i will, these people are just genetically inclined to smoke and do drugs or spill money for whatever reason).
They wonāt give a fuck. they may have kids who might play it. I donāt know what that entails.
Think what you will of the new generation of kids. They might like candy or they might be beaten and cursed by their parents.

Donāt even bother with balance changes, just fix the bugs. Thatāll get most of the experienced players to stop bitching (from what iāve seen on this forum in my 5-10 minutes here XD)
