What became of previous polls conducted here pertaining to the game? Are there any official ones?
Forum consensus
The majority of them are off suspension already. We try to limit the time a user is suspended unless they’re breaking a lot of rules very quickly specifically because we want feedback.
I doubt it. There were never official feedback poll. There a feedback section where comments, concerns, videos and such are posted
Which is nice because it allows for back and forth between the team and the playerbase but I feel thats all it has over a survey.
Are there any official AMAs/question&answers with developers?
there should be as i’ve said before
I still pray that the dev team does an AMA with the only req we are not allowed to ask about future content on this very forum but if they think of us as a bunch of whiny memers and we don’t establish good relations and contact that will never happen
Right now we have a semi-regular mod who (is the Community Co-ordinator so she could probably push to set this up) has to clean this place up and i don’t want them to have the same stance on us that probably Courier has and possibly even OKH has
because i got tons of questions for there systems and game design teams
I figured this was what the livestream was for?
We try to stream on our twitch for each patch. You can tune in there and talk directly with a few of us.
they don’t answer any questions on there livestream
at least none that actually matter they primarily only answer questions people could already figure out themselves
So that conflicts with the above, isnt it hamlet hosting those streams? He should be well aware of what people want to hear and this isnt new then?
In the forum’s current state, it would be difficult to host an AMA on here that isn’t heavily moderated or restricted. But I can try to bring it up.
There are certain things we can’t answer due to needing approval from other parties or something similar to that. I really do hate being vague with you guys but I don’t always have a choice in the matter. :(
It would hurt i guess, but considering that they are not in full control of the game and that feedback is not expressedly desired, it seems like an overkill.
i understand that which is why i put the caveat of no future content questions such as characters weapons maps etc…
cause you simply can’t talk about it which is fine i don’t care about that anyway
i want to ask about game design/philosophy regarding asym games and some balance related questions
Twitch has automated moderation and the AMA questions apparently still aren’t answered
Twitch moderation can only go so far. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the trolling on here is a bit more than an automated chat filter can handle LOL
I’m not sure which AMA questions aren’t answered, but we try to answer every question we possibly can. We’re just often asked about things we usually can’t confirm or deny such as future content.
Is there a lot of trolling in the livestreams?
absolutely as the community hates the direction/ perceived little progress the game has made
as you can see
it’s why i’m in the camp this forum NEEDS to get cleaned up while we have a chance to fresh start with someone who mods regularly to make a better relationship with the devs and other community managers
so that perhaps our feedback can be better received cause if they have a poor perception of us they would be less likely to take our feedback as genuine
So if the fifty people here agreed to not bully the AMA or ask about future content the developers will actually attempt a back and forth conversation?
And this wasnt a thing since launch when people were more invested in the direction of the game?
i would hope so as currently i would agree it’s not worth the trouble it would be to moderate such a thing
and no people had a bad taste in their mouth at launch as for some this game wasn’t playable due to bugs and RAMPANT balance issues (which may or may not have been a skill issue)
Thats always the case but AMAs are pretty standard. asking devs questions during livestreams shouldnt be a big deal as is. They hurt their own viewership simply by not acknowledging any back & forth conversation because 5 people are memeing poggers and another 5 are asking about xenomorphs & this is just crippling them when you have devstreams with much larger audiences.
Its not much of an excuse to not interact.
